I think you have to like Season 1, by about episode 3 or 4. If season 1 doesn’t grab you, then it’s unlikely the rest of them will. This was a show that built off of each season, and had some of the greatest main character arch’s ever…… but again, if you aren’t vested in any of the main characters in season 1, you prob aren’t gonna give a shite how their stories play out

I agree. My college taught a class on Who’s The Boss.

The real mystery lies in What’s Happening.

What IS happening?

For me it's mostly about the genre.
I'm not interested in thug life type shows/movies.
While I appreciate the authenticity of shows/movies like The Godfather, The Sopranos, The Wire, etc., I'm simply not interested in portrayals of that aspect of life.
And yes, I'm a milk drinker who prefers more wholesome content like Hallmark shows and movies.

My wife liked The Wire and it was appointment TV for both of us until the season they focused heavily on the kids and the school system. The combination of such young kids and the brutal reality of the show made it so it was no longer entertainment for her. I completely get that.

Maybe it’s not your jam, but it is a great series, imo. Stick with it.

It's only you edgy fricks that think you need to read between the lines, and enjoy the scenery, type nuts that think it's special.
That's fans of Terrence Malick directed movies, not named Badlands, not fans of The Wire.

If it had come out in the 2000's, and this board had recommended it, you would say "the edgy people think they're supposed to like it", or "I guess you have to drop acid to enjoy it".

No this board recommended plenty that I enjoyed. The Wire wasn't one.

Sounds pretty pathetic asking for help to "get into" a show you've tried to watch ..."at least 10 times". If a show doesn't click with you, just accept it & move on.
