The way Hawk is developing, do y'all see at anytime that Hawk could make Trey expendable trade bait?

Trey is the definition of the modern NBA player. You trade everybody on the roster before you trade him.

Why would you just want one of them?

He's close. He does not create his own shot though. He has been terrible since coming back from the injury. I highly doubt they trade him unless it is for a high impact player.

We finally go from not enough shooting to good shooting and fools want to trade it away. Is 8 games over .500 too much success for you to be a fan of?

Dude it's a simple arse question, don't need the ignorants. I ask the question because since Trey returned from injury I see Hawk hitting pressurized shots and Trey missing numerous wide open set shots. I'm not saying trade Trey, it's just a question from an observation.

I would probably observe longer than 2 weeks.

To be fair that question is pretty ignorant because its like you just watched the last 3 games so I understand people’s frustration. Also, since you have 2 really good shooters- no need to ship one out. Not trying to be harsh but Trey is just in a slump honestly- it happens- but in a way hope you got your answer.

I mean, I'm failing to see what the point would be in trading him even if Hawk did become a better shooter than Trey. We need multiple shooters.

He's only been back for 20 games and looks to be still in minutes restrictions. And he had a set back when Smart dived at his knees. It's going to take a little more time for him to get back to his old self. Coming back from injuries a month and a half into the season is not easy. He didn't suddenly forget to shoot.

No they play different positions, and we need as much shooting as possible

I'll try one more time, it's just a question...

Why would we trade him?

Hawk will take over for CJ - their contracts overlap perfectly.

2025-26 Starting lineup for Pelicans looking like
Hawk
Herb
BI
Zion
Center TBD
6th man - Trey - Robert Horry style clutch man

2nd team could include CJ (on a lower contract), Jose (for life), Dyson (perhaps 25-26 is his trade year?)

You can’t talk about Trey on here. Too many people think he’s a max player. He has the potential to be but definitely lacks at creating his own shot and dribble drives to the hoop. I’ll get slammed as usual but stats and our own Announcers agree. Jordan is untouchable as he’s the shooting guard we’ve been dying to find in a draft for a long time.

There's a solid 2 page thread discussing Trey with most agreeing he won't get a max
