Was this really that bad? I didn’t see it, but a ton of people were optimistic after the initial trailer. Guess it didn’t pan out.

That's not justified IMO. He was fine in that movie.
I do love that Megan Fox is on there twice for separate movies.

Meg 2: The Trench
I couldn’t make it through the first 20 mins.
quote:I know what they were going for, but she was abysmal in this movie.
Jennifer Lopez – The Mother
The whole “stoic and emotionless” character did not work at all.

The Meg is great.
The Meg 2 is atrocious.

The Meg is great.
quote:I mean, I know those movies were pretty much both made for Chinese audiences, but the second one just felt so much more blatant.
The Meg 2 is atrocious.

Not to mention, the little girl from the first was horrible as an older character.
She was one of the main reasons I shut it off.

No way should she ever be nominated no matter how bad the role is.

Meg 2 is a real threat to “win”
I was the only person in my theater and I said out loud.. holy hell this movie is terrible

I never expected this to be good, but it at least had potential to be entertaining.
Instead, there was no creativity, no suspense, no humor, and ultimately no point after the way it ended.

I am legitimately curious if someone has ever been nominated for worst actress AND worst supporting actress in the same year...

Initial trailer was the only good thing about it. Just completely missed the boat with regard to the original themes of the first movie that made it so scary and upsetting; ended up being a grab big of tired exorcism tropes, damn near literally just throwing shite at the wall to see what would stick/beat the demon (which wasn’t the point of the original movie at all).

Being a great actor or actress doesn’t mean you won’t have shitty roles.
I know Laurence Olivier got a Razzie nomination for doing Inchon back around 1982. Not sure if he won, but he would probably be the most distinguished actor to ever win one.
Edit - Looked it up and he did win that year.

I could be mistaken but didn't he go and accept the award? That's gotta be awesome to get those and then place them near his 100 million dollar Scrooge McDuck pool.

Exorcist was only OK. They are trying to reignite the franchise. I think the scare factor was lacking and the ending kind of fell flat. The house at HHN was better lol

If anyone could pull it off, it's Megan Fox. These are the 9th and 10th Razzie nominations of her career. Surprisingly, she's only "won" one Razzie out of 8 previous nominations--her lone "win" was for Worst Supporting Actress in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Sandra Bullock won best actress for Blind Side and worst on screen couple for All about Steve in the same year. And attended.
Not the same but a fun piece of trivia.

Adam Sandler won Worst Actor and Worst Actress for the same film, Jack and Jill.

I thought the Meg 2 was actually pretty good. I enjoyed it a lot.
nvm you all hate it lol. I think i just like all the "nature" diaster movies no matter how cheesy.
