Doesn’t do it for me but it looks good.

I love the color but can't get past those wheels.

It seems like vettes routinely break the $1M mark on Barrett. The range on vettes is crazy. Lots of cheap options on the market, but if you can get your hands on a rare version it can go seven figures.

Agree on the wheels. When I walk up to a car, I don’t want the wheels to be the first thing that grabs my attention, good or not so good.

Can you drop. $100K bid on that one for me? Thanks!

Well now you have my husband's attention
I am all in on classics. I like vintage everything including cars.

It went for 2.7M. Bidding was pretty crazy.

I hated restomods for the longest time, but what I think I really hated was they all had terrible wheel choices.
I get the new chassis and suspension for the drivability but the wheels always seem to be in bad taste.

Staging lanes is insanity with the salon collection rolling

I did a post back on page 2 about the perils of restomod wheel choices. They basically always look out of place. You can hide the 1,000 HP engine, slick tranny, high performance rear end, and suspension but the performance wheels and tires are going to be front and center.
50s/60s era cars generally had narrow 14 or 15" wheels and high aspect ratio tires. So if you want a car to have the acceleration/braking grip, non-squishy handling, and modern size brake rotors you have to make a compromise. The compromise results in a larger diameter wheel with lower aspect ratio tires which throws the visual balance off of classic cars. It doesn't really matter much what the wheels themselves look like because the proportions are going to be "off". It is a tradeoff between classic looks and performance.

I know a catfish farmer who is at the show. He has a hell of a collection of classic cars in his shop. One of the cars is one of only 3 in existence and worth like 500k, I can’t remember what kind it is though.
