When he babysat Brady in the booth as co OC we seemed to have a pretty good offense. He is gold in my book but it is time for him to enjoy his retirement.

Please stop this narrative. Nice man, no doubt. Loyal Tiger, no doubt. But, come on, please stop this Steve E did great things. Joe Burrow and Joe Brady made it happen along with some really good WRs. Why did it take 35 years of coaching for Steve E's value to shine and it was only bright for 1 year?

i’m a pretty seasoned veteran, but I’m actually curious to hear more about the old LSU board. What was the name?

It was called Tiger Lair or something like that? It was the premier message board in the early 2000's. It was a lot like this board, then they decided to go to a monthly fee model for more "insider" content. So a bunch of us migrated over to this board.

At that time Chicken was nothing more than a very young chick.

Yeah. That's it (under tigerroar.com). Many of us gravitated from the old AOL board (Yeah, buddy, I'm old, wanna fight about it?) to the Lair and they committed suicided by going to a pay model.

The Evil Twins (The DeJeans) were features over there, IIRC.

He's one of my favorite LSU players and coach. He earned his retirement. Now if he wanted to be a part time analyst that would be great. If not that is cool with most of us.

Dude, I use to frequent that board. Holy shite I forgot about that place. I guess I was in that migration to come over here when the paywall went up. I lurked here for about 4 years before caving in and creating a profile because “I just had to comment”. Was the biggest mistake I ever made. Now look at me.

this is correct.

Look, we all love E and appreciate all he's done for LSU. No doubt about that.

But E had all of 2019's talent in 2018, and did little with it.

Only when Brady came in 2019, was the offense unleashed.

Will Saban stay or go was one of the hottest topics of discussion and I randomly found this board that had free 'insider info' without a paywall. I suppose it was time well spent well past midnight in the labs of CEBA

Yes. And “Hail Regan” was that board’s Chicken. They legit had board police that would jump on anyone who posted something off topic relative to LSU sports. Was sorta funny actually.

Ol Central baw Ensinger must make a pretty good bbq sauce. An unusual amount of baws here continue to overcredit him for 2019. Is he running office somewhere?

He was a good guy. The site was good but the for-pay didn’t work out.
