What's everyone's go to for king cakes in the Baton Rouge area?

Everyone likes different ones. I pretty much like all King Cakes. LOL

Gambino's, Calandro's, Reeves, Rouse's all make good ones. Oak Point is good for turtle and other non traditional King Cake varieties.

I've heard Calandro's/Gambino's/Oak Point are the top 3 (if you consider Oak Point BR in this case)

Some places out in LP are selling Dong Phuong cakes

Eloise Market on Lee. By far the best king cake I've bought in BR. And decently priced compared to the Randazzos, etc. that are shipped into grocery stores.

If you want one of the NOLA Bakery King Cakes, Martin's Wine Cellar usually has a variety.

Robert’s on Highland. I like Calandros too, but they are weirdly flat/thin.

After reading someone else’s post on this site I purchased a praline king cake from Rouses. Damn good!

Strange you think that considering they won the competition for best king cake a couple years ago . They had like 50 places in the competition

I adore the Party Palace cream cheese king cakes. You can find them at Calvin’s bocage. Perfect dough, great icing and nice amount of filling.
