Damn, why is Aranda randomly catching a stray today?

Aranda got it figured out toward the end of the season. He was not used to being part of a team that could score so quickly up to that point in his career.
Also, his defense was key to the Auburn win which helped keep the unbeaten season alive.

Keep watching. We got 4-5 consecutive stops to close the game out.

What happened from TAMU on?

I remember a couple times with injuries and suspensions that hurt them.

They gave up 28 to a VERY good UF team and scored 42 with York missing a 36 yd FG.

The offense was really efficient which left the defense on the field a lot more and Mullen wanted to shorten the game. 28 to a good team isn’t bad at all.

Dave Aranda was not 3rd and Aranda...jesus christ. Chavis got that nickname because of multiple seasons having issues giving up 3rd downs.

House had the worst defense in the history of LSU and got that nickname. Aranda was actually an elite Coordinator and anybody putting Aranda into that comparison is an idiot.

Go look at what his defense did in the Championship holding Clemson to 0 3rd down conversions. His defenses were very good during his tenure and in 2019 the issues were more due to turmoil between Ed O and Aranda. From the Arkansas game on the defense was very good to great. Jesus Christ.

If LSU had Aranda’s 2019 defense in 2023, you are looking at an SEC West Championship and a possible CFP appearance.

Just so we’re clear on how stupid the OP is, opponent’s 3rd down conversion rate was 29.58% in 2019.

That was good for 6th in the nation.

The second half the defense played well. Gave up one TD.

Guys like you are just idiots. Every team LSU played this past year had 3rd and whoever their DC was. Or maybe LSU just played well. Aranda was a top tier defensive coordinator. But of course if you are the man in the arena part of the job is listening to buttholes like TigerProphet criticize you.
