Can anyone give me a rec. for a guide? Gonna probably be 4-6 guys gonna go. Thinking of Little Red River or White River. Also what month in springtime is best? Thank you advance.

Yes it would be a fly fishing trip

My son and I fished with Bill Willmart, Ozarkangler.com. We fished 1/2 day the week of Christmas and boated over 40 fish. My son had never fly fished before that, so we were extremely pleased.
We fished Little Red.

Beau’s Guide Service
I used Beau last year on the Little Red. We caught a lot of fish and had a good time.

I went through rising river guides on the white. My FIL and I had a great experience.

The best guide on the White/Norfork rivers is Matt Millner.
Rising River Guides. Only problem is he stays booked up.
Website: Rising River Guides
He is a good friend of mines son.

I don’t remember his name, so I don’t know if he still posts here or not, but a couple of years ago, there was a poster here whose family (I believe) had recently sold a guide service that was in the Norfork/White River area. If he’s still around, he would know.

That would be me. Honestly we focused more on spin fishing than we did fly fishing. My best trout ever was on a fly but it was luck not skill.
You can't go wrong with any of those listed, I would be hesitant to say who is best simply because fly isn't my forte.

I agree with Dallys or Rising River.
March you'll be able to throw streamers and the hatches (dry fly fishing) start in May.

quote:I went through him, but I didn’t fish with Matt, because he was booked up. He did set me up with another guide who looks to be out of the business now. So even if you can’t get with Matt, he can set you up with a top notch guide.
Only problem is he stays booked up
