Liberty WR CJ Daniels started his visit at LSU Friday and will go through the weekend. Daniels was PFFs 8th highest graded receiver in the country this season
Enjoy these highlights. Big physical fast receiver at 6’2 200lbs. Guy is a Sunday player
LINK Great RAC for TD
LINK Impressive TD catch fighting through PI
LINK More impressive RAC for TD
LINK Tremendous catch against Oregon on sideline
Big time diving catch on 4th down LINK
LINK High points the ball with great hands to Moss a guy for TD

I'm sure he could be a stud, but I sure would hate using a valuable spot for anything other than DT or CB

You need a true X wide receiver. You don’t have one. You have to have one.
All of those highlights have Daniels by himself to his side of the formation winning a 1 on 1 battle.
That’s a true X wide receiver.
Lacy can’t do that. Hilton is a flanker. Anderson plays the slot. Same with Parker. And Sampson isn’t ready.
It’s just as big of a need as DT.

Daniels would be great, but LSU has a lot of competition for him.

Then he'll never be ready. Name me one top LSU WR that wasn't "ready" by his sophomore year. There are none.
Fact is, I don't believe you when you say Sampson isn't ready.
A 4-star/5-star WR that isn't ready by his sophomore year? You're out of your mind. He needs to transfer right now if that's true.

I am certainly one to count scholarships. Having said that, IF LSU has enough room, he is at the top of my WR scholarship list. Athletic, fights for the ball, good hands, etc. I am always concerned about opponent competition (Conference USA team) but on skill POS players you can just isolate on the player. Even for cherry-picked HIGHlights, these are damn strong as Les Miles liked to say.

20 yards a reception on 55 receptions
1 td in every 5.5 receptions
hello

what?
Brian Thomas Jr just two years ago wasn’t ready to be your X WR. Then a year later he’s a first round pick

Any spot we need will be made. Stop worrying about “spots”

Most WRs come into their own in Y3.
Being “ready” is relative but a healthy progression would be to fill a role than to be the “guy” in Y2.

Well he can bring it on the field and he seems like a pretty awesome kid from this video.
Hopefully he comes to LSU, but if he doesn’t I’ll root for this kid.

That's great. I know someone with epilepsy and it is scary. Especially driving and having a seizure. Great to see both of them helping others.
On the light hearted side, they were using Zatarain's mix so it is a done deal. He is going to be a Tiger.

We truly needed a wide receiver like him in the worst way. Just picture our Wisconsin game without BTJ. Not saying this kid is BTJ but he’s a damn could player and just a notch below his level.

As a fan of both teams (I went to the Fiesta Bowl beatdown, ouch), this kid is the real deal. Great catch (literally) by LSU.

You ever heard of this kid named Nabers?
Fesh year: 400 yds, 4 TDs
Senr year: 1500 yds, 14 TDs

Nabers was ready as a sophomore
But that dude is being ridiculous assuming all stud WRs should be ready their second year in college
BTJ
Jefferson quickly come to mind
From other schools in recent years
Jalyn Hyatt
Jameson Williams had to transfer before breaking out as a junior
