Friend of mine does construction and he put a rant on Facebook today bitching about people who call him out to get a quote and don’t hire him. Went on and on about his time is valuable and it’s his gas to drive out and don’t contact him for quotes if you aren’t gonna hire him, and that he will start charging people just to show up and do a quote

I text him told him that’s a bad idea part of construction is people want several quotes for comparison to know they aren’t getting shafted. You get some jobs, you lose some. If you need to recoup time and gas costs for jobs lost just slip an extra small amount into the labor part of each quote but don’t announce it on social media like an a-hole

How I picked it up. Same antlers.

You talk about a pissy bitch. I texted him in his cul de sac stating "I'm at your mailbox". He replied he'd be there shortly and 5 minutes later came hauling arse down his driveway and whipped around my truck where I was standing. He handed me my rack and a cape wrapped in clear plastic and said "here's your rack and here's your cape. The cape you gave me was bad so here's the one I was going to replace yours with". I told him I didn't need a cape to just keep it. God he was pissy and said you'll need it for another taxidermist. I told him I wasn't taking it to another taxidermist and he pissily said "fine that's your decision" and walked back to his truck with the cape and drove back up his driveway. No discussion, no questions, just straight pissy. LOL. It was like I was dealing with an EX girlfriend giving me my things back. I kinda think he was surprised I showed up.
