If I was the Mexican president I would work the illegitimate regime for as much money as possible. The Mexican president sees the illegitimate regime wasting hundreds of billions of dollars every year, they want some of the action.

Exactly. Taking antagonistic stances to neighbors never works out. Mexico benefits greatly from being in the US Security Umbrella, which allows them to spend more on internal policing rather than having any real FP aspirations.

You do realize we have US troops at the southern border, right?

Two words for him & the cartels:

DRONE STRIKES

Precision strikes on cartel strongholds.

When Trump comes into the office - not only finish the Wall, but add manned tower posts every couple of miles —

Also, implement ground sensors for tunneling, and if need be, motion activated mini-guns —- for objects larger than a child

We don't need Mexico's help on this--if our border was not open, Mexico could and would close its own border to anyone it didn't want crossing into Mexico. It might even have to help actual poor Mexicans rather than just safety-valving them into the US.

Because the Supreme Court made a bad decision when it decided that immigration enforcement was a civil issue.

From day 1, we need to prosecute everyone involved in the NGO’s like they are doing to the Jan 6’ers, as well as Government officials involved

Not sure why we're not doing these already.

Not involved in a military operation as posted

They're assisting DHS in civilian admin duties, primarily.

Mexico has had a exceedingly difficult time centralizing due to its geography. Firstly, the mountain ranges in the north, the Sierra Madre de Chiapas and the Sierra Madre Oriental, separate the coastlines from the center of the country, which has made centralization efforts difficult. The best evidence of this is the repeated 'centralization' efforts promised by various Mexican presidents. I can get more granular if you like, but Mexican internal instability has its root case because of the geography of the country.

Can we use the Rocky and Appalachian Mountains for the same reason?

Why can’t we whine and claim to be unable to govern ourselves?

Mexico has had almost as long as we have to figure it out. They haven’t, and they haven’t ever really tried.

Every government Mexico has ever had either originated as, or devolved into, a mechanism to get CDMX elites rich.

Damn dude, this is straight up retarded. You need to stop being so emotional and start thinking like a state.

No it isn’t. It is a fact that Mexicans are why Mexico sucks.

Trickle down economics didn’t work in the United States.

You think it’s going to work in quasi-capitalist semi-failed states?

Pipe dream. Won’t work. Ever.

Is this your level of analysis for everything? Because this is an embarrassing response and you likely won't understand why.

Which has nothing to do with the geopolitical questions at hand. You understand that right?

It's literally working in Mexico as we speak.

Again, there is a reason the people crossing the border aren't from Mexico. The Mexicans are enjoying their increasing SOL in Mexico.

This isn't some theoretical/academic exercise. Mexico has improved dramatically due to global trade and the increase in export-related industries like manufacturing.
