Got my Testosterone results back and it’s not looking good at all. They are very low and I have felt like shite for a while now. No energy, tired all the time and just moody.

Anyone here has gone through or are doing TRT? What can I expect?

Just started about 3 months ago. Plenty on here know way more than I could say. Only advice I can give is to say give it time. I'm still getting my situation dialed in. Dosages, negating the increase in estrogen, etc.. Basically doing blood panels every 6 weeks until happy with levels of everything.

i have been on for years, 8 to be exact

my advice, 2x week shots, subq if it doesnt cause bruising or rash like bumps

start at about 150mg total per week split into 2 shots

get on boron to increase free test levels, 9-12mg daily

dont worry about increase in estrogen in blood work, worry about how you feel

give it 16 weeks to allow full build up and leveling off before taking new bloods.

try and keep your levels at the high end of normal for your age and keep your free test levels as high as possible

other advice would be to start prioritizing protein in your diet and getting around .8-1g per lbs of bodyweight and start lifting weights.

I was on it since July, but in all honesty...probably should have been. My test was 555 (38). All of my labs were great to begin with.

I never could get anything to balance. My hormones went nuts. Libido took a huge hit, and had ED issues. I had some really bad bloating issues & and very high heart rate - both have subsided since being off.

It felt nice being in the gym, and I put on an extra 10lbs or so. But I couldn't do anything cardio related without feeling like I was about to have a heart attack.

I'm glad to hear that TRT works for some people...but it ain't for me - at least not right now. Getting off of it sucks. I'm currently taking a test booster to help with the side effects.

I just started 3 weeks ago.

Yes, more energy....libido back up...more motivated to get shite done. Sleep is better.

I researched this for about a year before I pulled the trigger.....wish I would have done it sooner.

Others have more info but I have been on 90mg test 200 2x a week since July was at 250ish test currently at 1049 and I've lost 25lbs and best shape of my life. I thought it was just normal to be tired and have no energy. It's been a game changer for me, have more energy in gym and it's helped me do more things with my kids. Wish I would have jumped on it sooner.

It's definitely a lifetime investment so make sure you do all your research before jumping on it but I'm really glad I read the threads on here and took the dive

Are you going through a TRT clinic or your medical provider?

I’m dosing .6 to .7ml per week and I need to reduce it.

A few weeks ago, I had my weekly injection on Tuesday evening and had a physical with blood work on Friday.

Other than elevated liver enzymes that have been up and down these last 5 years, everything else looked good.

Overall test, though.. 1340

Did an Everlywell test because I've been in a real funk for about a year - tired, poor sleep, hard keeping weight off.

Total test was 274. Seems pretty damn low. I've heard I should take another test after a few weeks of good clean diet and exercise and then try the test in the morning. If its not much higher after that, I've got to look into something.

I'm 40 in June and mood/energy took a real dip around 38, but also coincided with my 3rd child. I exercise semi regularly, but haven't been on a good run in 2023, and I'd say I'm only about 10 lbs overweight, but its stubborn these days.

Any advice on getting right (or supplements) before I go to the clinic is appreciated

I started on it in December. I was in the 200s. At 40 yrs old that's pretty damn low. I was a workoutbeast I my 20s, so I don't know why T has fallen off a cliff for me.

Dr prescribed the gel and had me do double pumps on each shoulder blade. I'm having trouble absorbing it, so I go to the urologist on the 31st to get the T they implant under your skin.

Anyone had the shots v implant? I opted for the implant as it seems like it's a more steady/reliable source of T. Also Dr said he had a patient who was testing low, did the implant, and was in the 800s. Sounded pretty good to me

Finally got in at the urologist on Thursday and he hit me with 300mg. I have to go back this Thursday for blood work to see what my levels are, and he said he will adjust and keep adjusting until we find the perfect dose. I felt great during the weekend. Had way more drive to want to get stuff done.

Taking 50 mg sub cutaneous.

Already feel better.

Oddly, I swear to God my hearing improved. I shite you not.

I’ve read that dhea seems to be correlated with Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease?
