You understand this board is not real life, correct? Just because it's not the main topic here, doesn't mean it's not Kelly's main topic.

Sloan is already on staff. Fine if hankton is named co oc.

Both have done a great job and deserve promotions.

What exactly is a recruiting exam?

ETA I know keeping Sloan is key for getting Bryce, but I hope we retain Hankton as well. There's been no drop off on WRU, and I think you can attribute the monster season BTJ had to his tutelage.

Yes I’m sure that Brian Kelly is going to ignore all the other recruits he secured, ignore his play calling in the bowl, ignore his development of Daniels , ignore the continuity with nussmeir and change his mind because an 18 year old who lives in Michigan doesn’t end up in Baton Rouge

Of course it does. But you don’t give someone a job because of it.

They need to find a way to give Sloan a raise & promotion without making him OC. Assistant HC & QB coach / run game coordinator or something of the sort

Here's the top 20 offenses in college football this season. Whose OC would we want to poach that is realistic?

I love that Adam thinks we should hire Sloan even if Underwood doesn't commit to us, and Lester thinks we shouldn't hire him even if he does. Both y'all doing some mental gymnastics.

So two different people can’t have different opinions?

Call me crazy but I think basing the decision for the offensive coordinator of your football program is far too important to base on the whims of a singular 18 year old kid.

I mean my heart says Sloan but my head says they should make a more vetted hire.

I have names but my guess is none of them would be considered, naturally.

I think they are in a bit of predicament with potentially having Nuss for 2 years vs a legit dual threat potentially coming up the pipe afterwards. I think you have to account for that when making a hire.

It’s a little wild but would love to see Kliff Kingsbury’s version of offense with Nuss at the helm. I think that would be a good fit for 2 years. And you let him build his way back into being a HC potentially.

You are using the discussions on this board as a measurement of the urgency that Kelly is supposedly undertaking.

You specifically wondered if Kelly was waiting and referenced the lack of OC discussion as a sign.

No, I wasn’t. I was just commenting on how we moved away from it so quickly.
