Can we get a refund for their shitty work to offset the buyout?

If we know one thing, Woodward doesn't mind spending money.

Just don’t understand how/why we can piss away money like this with these contract.

Was Matt House so in demand that we had to pay him $2M/year? None of these contracts ever make sense.

how much money has lsu coughed up the last 5 years on buyouts?

it’s got to be a ridiculous amount

they have to lead FBS in that category

funny House got a contract extension april of last year because of how well the defense played

in reality he played lsu administration

makes you wonder if instead of paying $5.4 million to go away, what if we just paid $5.4 million to buy some players and keep the staff. Would that not be a better use of the money?

Why is divorce so expensive? Because it’s worth it.

I don't understand how contracts don't have performance requirements. Like if the defense finishes in the bottom 20, you can be fired for cause.

Iowa had one in there for their OC this season. He had to average at least 25 points per game. At some point in the season they just fired him lol.

There should be a clawback from BKs contract for every dollar we have to spend buying out his bad hires. Maybe reduce his buyout? Of course that could incentivize him to not make changes but seems like he should feel some pain for his bad decision.

Woodward overreacted as usual and gave House the extension as if he was irreplaceable and/or willing to bolt.

If he was willing to leave that quickly, then it shows he is not all in. Let him go. This happened with Miles and the fake Arky offer that Alleva fell for.

Consistency should be required to get extensions, not one fluke year to start.

Sounds good, but you’ll end up with Bo Pelini if you try to put that in today’s coordinator contract.

Coordinator Contracts should be tied more to performance with specific details. HOW difficult to at least tie a your buyout to the rank of your defense or offense nationally, divide it in 10 petrcentiles heck even if it would be in 4 quarter divisions we would not have to pay so much for non performance

The rant told him they were shitty hires from jump street. As usual the rant is always half right.

ALL of it. Every last cent. House and his assistants were a total failure.

Because it becomes less attractive for coaches. High level coaches have the leverage. If you add in stipulations, they will just go somewhere that is willing to pay them without the stipulations.
