SPC already has a 15% area highlighted a week out for the gulf coast, which is pretty rare

No doubt it will be spinny for this one.
Pretty good model agreement that far out, as far as the big picture goes. I'm always leery with the warm sector that confined. The last time we had a similar setup it was a complete bust. This one will be moving quicker and the trough looks to be more amplified. Pretty good swing in temps and dews with the passing of the front as modeled.

A wet trench like that with a warm shaft coming through is hit or miss. This one has a second shaft moving in. Heavy dews from both events for that model.

I want to know about the possible freeze later in the month.

From what I've read, which isn't much, is almost 100% speculation. People picking out single pieces of model runs 600+ hours out
Of course that doesn't mean it won't freee, just no way to know right now. Like throwing darts

There will be a pattern shift where we start seeing more systems rolling through the Midwest and Southeast. Some of those try to dig farther South, but it fluctuates from run-to-run how far the really cold air makes it. People in the Midwest and NE should see some actual snow out of some of these systems. There isn't really one of the sure-fire, no doubt deep South hard freezes out there right now, though.
