It's almost cheaper to eat at a restaurant than home nowadays

We had steaks tonight, and I paid $20 each for 12 oz ribeyes at our grocery store. The 12 oz ribeye at Texas Roadhouse is $22.49 and comes with two sides. It's fricking bull shite.

Im not expecting to eat cheap when im creeping towards $30/lb for steaks at the grocery.

If you dont shop like a complete dingus, eating at home is always cheaper

So you paid $27 /lb for ribeyes? Just curious what grocery store?

Between Winn Dixie and Rouses in the Mobile area, every other week you can find the cheap Argentinian beef ribeyes for $6.99 /lb. Higher quality is 15.99-17.99 regular prices, but once a month you can find around 9.99 or less.

I would think KC are would be cheaper

This is kinda my point. The cost for steaks has gotten retarded. I remember not so long ago it being nearly half this price. Certainly less than $20 a pound.

You are not comparing apples to apples. For ~$27 a pound, you should have gotten prime ribeye and Texas Roadhouse is definitely not serving prime for $22.50.

Hyvee is our local grocery store here. Normally we get steaks from Sam's which I think might be cheaper. I don't ever remember seeing grocery store ribeyes for over $20 a pound.

Whole foods? Cause at Krogers, costco, sams, it's between $8-12 lb.

Foots get your meat when it’s on sale my man. Beef has gotten crazy expensive. Still prefer to cook my own steaks which I don’t eat as much as I used to. Go with the other stuff and you will find it much cheaper eating at home.

This is more of an indictment on you, not the price of groceries. Dont be a fricking moron when you go to the store.
