I've thrown some in during a crawfish boil. but have never specifically had a lobster boil. They turned out good, didn't take on a ton of seasoning though. It's something that I will do when I catch lobster tails on sale. Have some butter ready ... bonus points if you use the garlic from the boil.

Yea…idk if you’re supposed to crack the shell or something, but they don’t cook like crawfish that’s for sure. We had to season and sauté them in butter after because they were bland and way undercooked. It was our first and only try, but we did a get a bunch and give it a go. Hope yours turn out better.

I've had them. I didn't care for the crawfish boil flavor on the lobster. It sort of ruined it for me. I enjoy the flavor of the lobster meat with a bit of butter and lemon. That being said, I do enjoy lobster dishes like Newburg from time to time.

Yeah I can see that too

I feel like youd have to boil them more like crabs instead of crawfish. Boil for 10 minutes and soak for 20 or so.

I don't care for lobster but boiled lobster is not what you want. Grilled with butter or any other recipe. Don't boil it. Just buy crawfish.

At some point, I don’t want everything flavored like crawfish.

Skip it. Back in the day (2013) when there were some hot robsters floating around on here I gave it a try next to some split on the grill with garlic butter. Grill > boil.

I've always boiled them in salt water. Crawfish pot full of water, and one tub of Morton's salt will do it. 1lb chicks are ready in about 8 minutes. No soaking needed. You know they are done right when the antennas pull right off with no resistance.

You could soak those things for a week and they'd never absorb the flavor

I’ve done it.
Boiled for 15, soaked for 40.
Came out like crawfish flavored lobster.
I enjoyed it.
I also steamed lobster with a flavorful water/broth last night and broiled them after prepping (cut tail, put on top of shell).
Came out great.

Cook separately w old bay. Dip in butter. Delicious

I usually boil a few sacks in the spring and save the crawfish for the poor people. Nothing like a good lobster bisk with the leftovers.

Steaming w aromatics is the fool proof way.
