Last I heard on Primeaux was that he was looking pretty good in the fall.

One of the other guys that attended the fall scrimmages may have more info.

Advocate interview with Jay Johnson provides some more insight on where the team stands

Noot on track for March/April return from injury
Shores possibly later than that

Following are in line to redshirt so roster is all but set:
Cooley
Dale
Thompson
Seo injury prior to LSU
Lape injury prior to LSU

Koki Riley with all the scoop on the baseball beat

Is he available to pitch tonight or not? I got a guy in place and we can all make some good scratch when I give him the injury status.

CJJ said last year that Holman was the one bama starter who scared him. He was bama's Fri nite starter. So he has both the SEC experience & apparent ability to be a weekend starter for LSU this season.

Ryan Eades (2011 - 2013) - pitched 11.1 innings for Minnesota and Baltimore in 2019.

Thanks for doing this. I’m still focusing on WBB and MBB but enjoy learning about our next NC team.

JAy Johnson last week in an interview (Summarized from what someone said he mentioned on another board)

- Hurd, Holman, & Jump are looking to be the weekend rotation, with Herring and Ackenhausen being mentioned as possibilities to start.

- Cam Johnson to be developed and likely a backend of games arm for now.

- Guidry will focus on pitching (end of games) again this season, but they will continue to develop him as a 2-way player, which could be used for situational purposes when rosters are reduced to 27 for SEC play.

- Loer, Woods, Herring, Ack, Little, Moffett, Primeaux, Dutton, & Bucknam look to be the primary bull pen arms in addition to the 2 listed above.

- Anderson could be a contributor in the pen as well.

So the only pitchers he didnt mention there are Seo/Lape who are injured and being redshirted. Thompson is being redhisrted, pitcher/infielder there. Said Noot would be back early/mid-season or so (March/April). Shores possibly back by end of season. He didn't mention Bronzini, Ulloa, Hellmers and Coleman...the only surprising one there is Coleman but he wasnt ready to pitch this fall but sounds like he might be this spring.
