That's more satisfying than a Snickers.

Every teenage driver should be forced to watch this in driver's ed at least a dozen times and then be show pictures of the kids in the hospital (or deceased if that is the result).

It wasn't a one time thing.
From a Christmas tree seller whose lot is close to where the action has been repeatedly
From a Christmas tree seller whose lot is close to where the action has been repeatedly
quote:
Francis Barclay works for Jolly Christmas Trees, selling trees in the parking lot where the crash took place.
Though Barclay wasn't there the night of the crash, he said he has witnessed cars racing through the parking lot and groups doing donuts in the past.
"It seems to me, since I've been doing this for five years, it's getting more and more frequent," said Barclay. "It's been like every third or fourth night out here, there's somebody out here squealing tires. I see a lot of activity."
Barclay said the repeated behavior has made him worried for the families that come to buy Christmas Trees. He's sad for the victims in the situation, but he isn't entirely surprised after the reckless driving he's witnessed.
"I feel for those kids," said Barclay. "I hope they survive, and if they survive, I hope they never do that again."

that seems odd. has there been any update on the passengers that were crushed?

Saw this in an article about the roll over:
quote:
Based on the investigation, officers say the group met at the shopping center specifically to do donuts in the parking lot. They all piled into one car, and as the driver circled the lot, the five passengers dangled out of the windows.

This is what happens when kids have no fathers at home. RIP

They will be getting disability and social security for the rest of their lives. Way to go, I guess.

You are correct. I was wrong. Looks like the news station where I pulled the pic got their pictures crossed.

I haven’t. My vehicle was a shitty old Jeep that would roll over.
But not all of us are scholars like these folks.

No it doesn’t. If it did, I would move.
What a shitty, defeatist attitude.
It's this kind of attitude that causes this lawlessness in the first place.
This kind of stupid thuggery could be quickly phased out if we stop paying people to have babies.

I did donuts in 72 Camaro RS. I did them going forward with nobody banging out the window.
I did not do them in a top heavy suv driving in reverse.
I had taken 9th physics and understood that was simply stupid.
You didn’t either. Most of the time you drovr I imagined you slammed a taste of H and spent the next 30 minutes bobbing out waiting for the stop sign to turn green.

Just from the looks of it, I would guess that not only was the leg fractured, but this one also has significant spinal injuries and a pelvis broken in at least two places.
Pelvic fractures are also notorious for having significant internal bleeding due to the large number of vessels supplying blood to the pelvic region. These kids ,in their stupidity, likely suffered tragic injuries that will carry thru with them the rest of their lives.

I've never once come across this type of street takeover or heard of one in area fwiw
There are severe speed bumps in the middle of intersections in downtown Birmingham precisely because of this.
An intersection in downtown Birmingham is not exactly the place you want to have to slow down almost to a stop to cross a speed bump.

My attitude of "frick that shite" causes this? I'm no part of that shite. If the people who suffer from the actions of idiots like this want to put a stop to it, more power to them. I'm just not okay with any form of government making subjects out of citizens.

Agree. Or maybe just enforce the legitimate laws already on the books against things like loitering.

Wile E is sorely needed by this generation for his funny bone physics lessons.

That's too Gestapo-like.
