This is why the AirTag instructions say to place the AirTag within the inner walls of the canine’s butthole.

If it was planned he likely staked out the area previously. I’d look at old ring footage for the last week for a young guy.
Also ask neighbors (not just next door but around the block) to check theirs for the time frame he was stolen and maybe somebody picked up the vehicle he used. You never know it might help narrow it down.

I’m sure you thought of this but just in case you hadn’t.

Story is on the news now. It breaks my heart to see the dog looking back as the guy is dragging him out. I hope they find this a-hole.

omg, how heartbreaking.

and also- holy crap, I don't know that I'd ever be able to sleep again if someone had just up and walked into my house like that.

She was def being watched- and that is scary af.

Police have access to all area ring camera footage. It just depends on police priorities. Someone has seen and recognized this douche already. His friends and family may not turn him in.

They also steal "nice" large breed dogs to train the pit bulls how to kill.

People who do that need to have the living frick beaten out of them. I don't know if I would rather them dead or just have to live with some horrible mutilation (hands cut off, lower jaw removed, something along those lines - and lifetime ineligibility for any government benefit programs) for the rest of their lives in order to serve as a warning to others.

It was %100 planned. The perp (or likely perps) knew she wasn’t going to be home because she was riding in the loxley Christmas parade that night (I guess they didn’t count on her boyfriend not attending).

She also has multiple dogs and even another sheepdog. They knew which dog to grab.

hate to sound insensitive by why is a deaf dog living outside?

The dude stole the dog from inside the house.

Also, we have a deaf dog and she loves to be outside, can’t leave them indoors all the time.

1 of 2 things happened

1: that dog is gonna get used as a catch dog for dog fighting groups

2: that family pissed someone off

It didn’t in reality but they have been watching her house and social media and picked that night because they thought no one would be home.

In the video it also looks like there’s a gun in his pocket. I’m fairly certain someone paid this kid or coerced him into grabbing the dog.

I lived off of Burbank not far from Gardere and one of my dogs went missing. Gate was opened by somebody. Pretty sure this is what happened. Still makes me sick. I'd be in prison or dead if I'd found out for sure that'd happened and who had done it.

Man there is a special place in hell for someone who would do this. Breaks my heart when you see the dog look back as if it was waiting for the owner to come and save him. Probably very scared. Someone find that trash and drag him off.
