Unquestionably it was the 2020 Jan. 13 contest for the championship vs Clemson. Arguably one of the greatest college football games ever played.
A distant 2nd place was v Oklahoma for the championship in 2004

Actually this is an underrated game in LSU football. Tigers played lights out defense and their fans had a pretty decent showing for a game which was put together in the Superdome in such short notice.

03 because I was at LSU as a sophomore. 19 was something special to see though!

I’ll never forget how nuts the dome went when he broke loose. Def the best game I’ve ever been to. Nothing like your first. Esp after the misery of the 90s.

2019 National Championship. I did not attend the others.
What I really miss is the baseball round robin of Lousiana vs other states. Can’t remember who sponsored or what it was called. Three teams from Louisiana vs three teams from Texas or Florida or wherever. Was great to go to the Dome and watch LSU play early in the season indoors where it was warm.

Busch Challenge then it became the Winn Dixie Showdown.

2003. And the only reason is that I thought we would win and hoped we would win but it wasn’t 100%.
2019 was great, but I knew two weeks before the game that we were going to slaughter Clemson so there was no stress or worry whatsoever for that game. It was expected.
And the best game (I never went to) was the 2012 game. Lol

2003 was special for me. I was on the sideline and got some facetime on the TV broadcast after the Spears TD. I was fortunate enough to intern for the team, unfortunate that I had to work for Saban....ok the stories of his practices make for great conversations now.
In short, Saban's favorite Powerade is red and he is not a happy person if he accidently drinks Florida water on summer 2 a days practice.

2019. Best LSU team ever, playing for a NC. I had good enough priority points to have decent seats.

Chris Jackson (Fr.) and LSU beating Alonzo Mourning’s #2 Georgetown Hoyas in 1989. It broke the attendance record for a basketball event, at that time.

Still too much, but that defense wasn’t gonna be a 2 touchdown dog to anybody by that time, not after the arse-kicking we handed Georgia in Atlanta.
I remembered we dominated that game, but just looked up a recap and had forgotten some things. Georgia Dome was 3/4 Bulldogs fans and we came out and just took their soul in the 1st 20 minutes.
They couldn’t move the ball at all, JV busted his 87-yarder 10 minutes into the 1st, they go 3 and out and we get a safety on the punt. Proceed to take the kickoff and go on a 7 play 71 yard drive, then they 3 and out for -5 yards in only 48 seconds, we turn that into a FG to make it 17-0 just 5 minutes and 16 seconds into the 2nd quarter, but that game was already over. We had 196 yards to their -8 and everybody in the stadium or watching on tv knew it was over, specifically the Georgia players. David Greene, an all-time great Georgia QB who hadn’t thrown an interception in 3 games was picked off 3 times (once by Lionel Turner who returned it for a TD), was sacked 5 times, and finished 17-41 for only 199 yards. And they only had 50 yards rushing to our 293 (thanks, JV, helluva game). We won 34-13, but Chris Jackson missed an XP and had 2 kicks blocked (I think a FG and another XP), and it wasn’t even really that close. We lead the country in scoring defense that season.
So none of that happened in the Super Dome, but it was the game when I realized just how fricking elite that 2003 defense was—not just for that season, but all-time. And I can’t remember how Oklahoma’s butt-kicking in the Big 12 CG to K-State affected everybody’s opinions, but I think it was kind of blown off because they were likely in no matter what.
So why the 2004 NCG (2003 season) is my favorite in the Super Dome is because it felt more like a coronation as much as a competition. No team was scoring on that defense at that point, not enough to actually win. Like Thanos, that defense—and the team, by proxy—was inevitable. Sadly, so was Saban, it turns out. fricking bastard.

Definitely the 2007 game. It was absolutely awesome to send those red vest wearing fans from Ohio trying to look like Jim "Baptist Preacher" Tressell running for the exits. They were snobbish before the game, as if it was lowering themselves to even be seen in the company of swamp trash from Louisiana.

LSU/Clemson. That title just meant more.

2006. That was my first experience truly as a teenager getting to watch Jamarcus just shred ND.
