The overreactions every time we have a bad game is comical.
We made it to the semis. We didnt get blown out in the first round.
Yes, we got absolutely embarrassed. We had still been on an upward trajectory as team prior to this ONE game. look at the team's stat line. THE ENTIRE TEAM SUCKED. usually you have 1 or 2 players that might be cold. our entire roster was cold. it was one of those nights.
this isnt football where the season is over after one game. we still have a great roster and a TON of basketball ahead. chill, honey bunny. it's one game. we will bounce back. we were 1 game behind the Lakers prior to tonight.
We just flat out sucked. it happens in basketball. let's see the next 5.

The overreaction to wins is also comical. This team is inconsistent same shite every year

What’s our record during the entire Zion era? Pull that up and then maybe you won’t be trying to convince yourself that fans are simply overreacting to a 50 point blowout in year 5 of our rebuild.

I’m assuming you haven’t watched every game and casually catch the highlights or boxscores?
Trust me honey bunny if you watch every one of their games you’ll realize this wasn’t some random aberration. Its a thing thats been going on all season. We would be on top of the west if we had any sense of consistent effort especially from our superstars. I’ve decided to defend this team but to get embarrassed like that on the national stage is unacceptable on so many levels.

We have the talent to be doing this to other team… to be absolutely smashing through the opposition.
We somehow conspire to be absolutely average with sprinkings of being the best and worst team about. Seemingly effort and basic fundamentals which makes it unacceptable.
It’s repetitive and infuriating.

Christ, yall were the same crowd saying how amazing we are when we got here.
Zion is a problem, not an asset, YES. Doesn’t meant it’s reflective of the roster.
Check box scores? Go look at our +/- this game versus the past 5. our ENTIRE roster was off. Show me that in another game. It was a bad night. We aren’t bottom barrel.
Tell that bitch to be cool!

I do agree that the overreactions are unwarranted, but tonight did show that we’re further away than we had hoped.
All of our top guys, and we can’t put away the pansy arse media darlings with our former bitch of a “star.”
I honestly thought we had more heart; the team isn’t done but they have a long way to go to win the conference.

Your stars are a big part of your roster. If something is wrong with your stars it basically screws up your whole roster since essentially your roster is built around your stars.

This would have tied for the 8th highest margin of defeat in history, had this been a playoff game (and it SORT OF was).
Only two of those were in the last 30 years, and the biggest was (of course).... New Orleans in 2009.

Yes, needs to be more blame on coaching.

Is coaching why Zion is out of breath after playing 5 minutes?

Outside of that first mavericks game name me another game we've been blown out this season?
We were one 1pt away from beating the best team in the west on a back 2 back without Zion.
This team can be great, they just have get their heads out their arse.

They just played a playoff style basketball game against a playoff caliber defense and got exploited in every way imagineable.
You saw them exploit our bad defenders, lack of rim protection, poor mobility from BI, Z, CJ, and JV, poor spacing from our starters in the half court, tendency to revert to iso ball when things get tough, our ball watching habits gave them free reign to cut to the basket possession after possession, forcing our perimeter defenders to collapse because we can't keep them out of the key, and our inability to contain the pick and roll.
There's so many other things they did that we couldn't stop but the worst thing we saw was how easy it was for them to neutralize both Zion and BI. They were defended the same way and the Lakers just sat in BI's spots and waited for him to meet them there.
All the fears we've had for years about the flaws of this team was all in display last night. And it's not going away in May and June.

The Lakers were primed and ready. Lebron was full on Lebron.
Yes, we’re still on an upward trajectory. It requires a lot of patience and not allowing negative
Takes to bring you down.

Let's hope so.... We were 15-8 at this point last year.
