Why would a guy go from being perhaps the best DL coach in the NFL to being a college DL coach?

What's his salary? I thought when this happened it's b/c college pays them more. Usually the NFL guys get tired of recruiting and take the paycut back to the NFL.

A couple hundred thousand dollars more a year in his home state is just a guess.
