the insane train is gaining speed
California Targets Without Gender-Neutral Toys Will Be Fined in 2024
Some California stores are just weeks away from having to implement a gender-neutral section for children or face a penalty of up to $500, under a new bill.
In 2021, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation, titled Assembly Bill No. 1084, which will require some retail stores in the state to have a gender-neutral section for children "regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys."
The bill is set to go into effect on January 1, 2024, and states that stores failing to comply will be "liable for a civil penalty not to exceed $250 for a first violation or $500 for a subsequent violation, as provided."

And people think this guy could win an election. He comes off as a sleazy car salesman - worse than Romney - and supports this kind of foolishness. Of the swing states, he MIGHT be able to win Michigan, but none of the others.

I thought this was already the case.
I've never seen a sign for girls' toys or boys' toys. And a lot of toys (Pokemon, Mario, Paw Patrol, etc) are already for everyone.

The gender neutral section should have nothing in it.

It may be the case that most places choose to do that. It's not the case that they are forced at the point of a government gun to do it.

Target should pull out of Cali then and call their bluff

Target may as well pull out of Cali completely.
FFS, they have already been run out of business in the Bay Area and elsewhere due to rampant theft.

But I thought gender was a social construct.

Or just quit selling toys altogether.

The Constitution does not grant any power to regulate a business in this manner and I don't see any scheme under the 9th or 10th amendments that make such a ridiculous requirement legal.

So they can be forced to sell idiots stuff ?

They managed to install a dementia patient who was taking kickbacks from multiple nations while not bothering to campaign and you doubt their ability to put a young, handsome pro-abortion candidate in the White House?
He has 45% of the vote locked in and just needs to wrap up wine moms in the suburbs and never trumpers and he has it.
Given the state of elections in AZ, GA and PA I don’t think it’s a stretch at all that he would win.

What's a gender neutral toy?
One with an interchangeable dick and vagina?

I'll go one more.
He'll be a heavy favorite if he does run.

Can't say "dolls can be for everyone" and then argue they are aligned with a specific gender
