funny how people thinking expanding it by 300% makes it better.

Well, expanding it means both the most deserving and best get in. Then you have some cushion on the backend. There may be some people complaining about who the 12th seed should be, but most won't care since it's so far down the line and they'll likely just be a rent-a-win for number 1.

I hate to defend Bama. This is actually hurting my soul.

You must not, because youre overlooking all the rational reasons Alabama doesnt belong.

FSU never lost by two scores this season like Alabama did (at home)

FSU with a backup QB wasn't a very good team and they got left out because of it.

Their defense gave up just over 400 yards and 21 points in 2 full games.

Why does that not matter? How can Michigan be #1 despite throwing for less than 150 total yards in FOUR consecutive games?

Why does it only matter when talking about FSU?

In a similar "rivalry" game, which is used as excuse for Bama's poor play.

Because he wants Alabama in the finals.

Then why is UGA at home this year? OSU?

UGA played no one all year so they couldn't afford a loss. plus they came with a 3 team block. You can't put UGA in without Bama cuz Bama just beat them head to head and you can't put Bama in without Texas cuz Texas beat Bama.

This year there were 7 teams with an argument so in that scenario, the team that lost their conference and played a weaker schedule caught the short end of the stick.

I don't pay as much attention to the Big 10 so I don't have a super nuanced answer for OSU but I'd assume its because their league was just OK this year and they lost to the only other good team.

To the people saying that going undefeated is all that matters and it doesn't matter that people can see that the on field product slipped tremendously after FSU lost their QB then why aren't yall white knighting for Liberty? They also went undefeated.

The one that beat the back to back defending national champs.

The unproven national champs with a crap schedule. Them? How do you know that wasn't just a fluke upset and that the other 9 out of 10 times Georgia wins? Maybe Georgia is the "best team". Why is Saban getting credit for winning the game to be above Georgia, but getting perception bias as an argument to put him above FSU? Literally benefiting from both contradictory reasonings at the same time.

I'm an LSU fan, why would I want Bama in the finals?

Also to the other guys point. It matters because everyone can see that FSU isn't very good without their starter at QB. Most years that wouldn't have mattered. This year there were 7 teams in the mix so it did matter.

This same logic will be used to screw LSU.

Its pathetic, subjective and has no bearing on what their offense would look like in three weeks.

You totally ignore how Alabama looked vs Auburn.

I was told none of this matters. It’s about the best 4 teams.

Yes you did.

Youre bashing FSU for winning the past two weeks, while praising Alabama for doing the same.

If anything FSUs two wins were more impressive.

Right. The excuses made by:

1) morons
2) people with a Bama bias
3) both 1 and 2

You were never told that. You were told that the season puts the best teams in the conversation and then they pick the best 4 from that group.

UGA or BAMA cant go 7-5 and get in because they recruit well. You have to win the games to be in the conversation and then the committee is tasked with picking the best 4 teams from there.

Most years there are usually only 2 or 3 teams that deserve to be in the playoffs so it doesn't matter as much who they put at 4.

Look we can go in circles over and over again because there is no way to prove a definitive answer. IMO they got it right because FSU looked like a shell of themselves after their QB got hurt. I understand the "they won a P5 conference and went undefeated" argument, I just think making the best 4 matchups is more important than rewarding a team that we al know would lose.

Although watching Michigan lose another playoff game to a team they view as inferior would be hilarious...MAybe I change my mind. FSU got screwed !!

Ans then beat the back to back NCs on a 30 game win streak. Idk why that part keeps getting left out.

I don't know why THAT part gets left out.
