Florida State had a great season. This is what happens when you limit it to 4 teams. Thankfully its 12 teams in 2024. Alabama's strength of schedule (5) and Florida State's (55) is key. Whether Washington is really a playoff team is debatable (a topic for another post). If you've really watched the games in last few weeks, Alabama is one of the 4 best teams in the country. Seeing TCU getting blown out last year was not fun. Florida State (at the end the season) reminds me a lot of 2022 TCU.

People called me insane yesterday for saying Bama was in. I tried to warn y’all. It sucks, but it happened.

I agree, they robbed Florida State, but they arnt wrong it doing it.

I hate it for that team, they got SHAFTED, but they are not good without Travis.

The team that needed a literal miracle to beat Auburn?

you watched Alabama vs Auburn and came away thinking THAT was one of the 4 best teams in the country?

if so, then you need to start watching games played outside of the SEC footprint.

so we have now officially made this sport "what I think maybe might happen" instead of "what actually did already happen"?

If this is anyone other than Saban and Bama or Georgia and Kirby they aren’t in.

Saban has gotten a historic mulligan on like 4 of his six titles. Bama is just voted in every time because the committee factors in Bama’s historical success and recruiting rankings

So what happens if a team wins in the semifinal while losing their best player? Should they be replaced? I mean “they will get drummed” after all…. This is so stupid.

If LSU were there, needing a miracle to beat Auburn (and did), and beast Georgia, with the 5 most difficult schedule in the country, we would be bitching if the Tigers didnt get in.

You can say the same about FSU vs Clemson and Boston College this year - and that is when they had Travis at QB.

They have FSU 5 and UGA 6. How are you gonna say that Bama is better than FSU without Travis but UGA is not? Looks like BS to me.

Its always been what "we think". Thats what happens without a full playoff system (like the FCS). 4 teams is better than 1, 12 team system is better than 4. It will be better in 2024.
