Imagine still having this take after Jayden Daniels this season

Daniels has 5000 more career passing yards than KJ Jefferson

You're allowed to but just be man enough to say that he ain't your guy. You preemptively award the starting job to portal guys but then hide behind the line of "competition".

The best QB lsu can get is my guy.

Nussmeier has not done anything of substance for me to sit here and act like he is to be given the job just because he has been patient

No we feel he should be the starter because he's really good and earned his opportunity. Nothing was given and certainly not blindly.

Then why even recruit/develop your own QBs at all then

Just hit the portal every year for a new QB that has some experience elsewhere every year or 2?

My point is that people can improve.

He's from N. Miss, so I wonder if he would go to Miss State or even Southern Miss. Ole Piss has too many QBs.

The only SEC team he played well against was us and he threw 2 INTs in that game.

The people screaming about ‘go get him
!’ only watch LSU games. Dude looked like an all conference QB against us, but looked very very pedestrian against everyone else they played

Transfers in will want “assurances” which do not go well with fair competition.
Nuss was in a real close battle with JD which proves his skill level. I think it’s time for all to get on the bus!

Why can't you trolls give it a rest? Him leaving is what YOU want. You can't bring in the "best" without a promise for them to start. Despite the losers here asserting otherwise you can't know whether these guys are superior to Nuss or not ahead of time either. So you've either got this braindead notion that every transfer QB will be a Heisman contender or you just hate Nuss in particular.

“Hey Mr. Underwood, want to come to LSU? Here you’ll sit on the bench and MAYBE you’ll get a chance to play behind our transfer portal QBs we will take in every year or two that will always be ahead of you because they’ll have experience and stats and you won’t. Sounds like a great opportunity right?!?”

You don’t say no to a guy with that kind of starting experience in your league.

Let Denbrock and Sloan work their magic on him

I'd rather get someone who has more than a single year of eligibility especially for a QB.

The quality of college football is lower than NFL but one of the main connections we have as fans is that high school kids choose to represent a school and team we care about ie we think they care too. If college ball becomes a true free agent market where every team trades players every year and there is *zero* loyalty on either side then the sport itself will dissipate from what it is now. I mean, the fun of it is watching a local kid like CEH do amazing things in big games and then get drafted in the first round. I am just simply not going to root for 11 transfers in gold helmets. Got other things to do…

Or “hey Mr underwood we have this 6th year Sr coming in and there will be an opportunity to play right away”.

LSU fans are so behind the times. this isn’t unique to LSU and has proven to be a winning model across CFB. LSU has been a huge beneficiary of this method. But you are worried about hurting feelings lmao

KJ Jefferson isn't good enough to start at LSU. Pass.
