They are a dying culture population wise. I think they have a profoundly beautiful aesthetic they strive for, but the reality and personal sacrifice behind that aesthetic is darkening for the soul. The youth are not following the elders into the twilight. I think they are to be both admired and pitied equally.

You’re probably right. Some parts of Eastern Europe are okay…maybe some obscure island community in the Indian Ocean. Mainland Japan is freaking nice, and peaceful. Beautiful land and culture. Folks are respectful to each other. Okinawa is nice too…slower pace than the mainland and a different culture, but still nice. Japan would be a good second option.

We absolutely can if anyone wants. Dropping the bombs is vastly different than bayoneting children, forcing fathers to rape their daughters. It gets worse from there.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised the politards are trying to ignore and dismiss the truth of what happened, but this one kind of surprises me actually.

Nobody's culture has clean hands. I no longer accept grievance culture as a viable approach to judging things. Get back to us when Japan present day does something to harm you in more ways than just your feelings.
People in Japan have high standards and they live up to it. Clean, modern, vibrant, and all the trains run on time.
