Gave another game away to those rotten Utes from Salt Lake. Hey, front office. Chicken sh-- front office sits Zion again. Zion can't play fifteen minutes on a back to back. Give me a break, and front office you can kiss my arse.

It's not an issue with back to backs, it is 3 games in 4 nights. 15 minutes would probably be as much injury risk as 30. That is a big workload with minimal recovery time, and the 3rd game in 4 nights is what the Philly game where he injured his hamstring was.

Is it ridiculous that Zion can't handle the workload? Yes. Is it nonsensical that the team is taking this approach? No,

Both are at fault here .

Zion for never being in shape .

Organization for allowing it to happen . Now they can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube.

You think Zion would be a fatty in Miami and be playing . Absolutely not .

Last time Zion sat out a SEGABABA, we lost to the Wolves by 1. We should have won that one with Zion, as we should have won tonight with him.

The West is stacked. Glad that he and the Pels are confident enough to make the playoffs with him being super cautious.

And Zion has a unique body that has spent far too much of his career injured. I support trying to keep Zion healthy.

Again, it’s Zions people not the team.

And to be sure, missing games in the hopes of not missing games is grade A idiotic math. There’s no scientific backing to say more injuries occur by playing two nights in a row. If you want to really be safe, why not miss all the games to avoid injury?

If we keep giving away games in the winter, there won’t be an end of season for him to be healthy for. It’s time they get serious about their team and situation.

Y’all are so ridiculous. It’s November.

If Zion isn’t playing in April and May then none of these games right now matter in the slightest.

Two more wins last year would have had us tied for fifth in the conference. Instead we were 9th and in the play in and knocked out. That is the difference. November matters. We should know that by now.

Zion missed most of the season because he tried to rush back for the all star game and didn’t take his rehab seriously. Not because he played a back to back. He will likely get hurt at some point this season no matter what you do. That’s sports. We are simply adding ten missed games to that total. Good luck doing anything of substance this season with that tactic.

You’re missing the forest for the trees. If Zion isn’t playing in April/May, then none of the games matter.

It’s short-sighted at best.

What’s nonsensical is going through the same motions year after year. You can’t have your franchise player taking test days as a 23 year old the pelicans will stay in purgatory for ever between the 7 seed and 11 seed

It sounds like you’re arguing for a different approach than they’ve taken in previous years, no?

It's easy to say all these games don't matter.

Then we look back at the end of the season and where we are in the standings, and then we realize, "Yea, those games we thought were unimportant... They kinda mattered"

By this logic, shouldn't we sit him even more games then?

Don’t be hyperbolic. Clearly there’s a middle ground between “play every game” and “play none of the games”.

I’m not a doctor or medical professional and even if I were, I haven’t evaluated Zion. But if the people paid to make these decisions seem to think this is the best way to have him available for meaningful games late in the season, who am I to say it’s a bad plan?

Forest and trees.

You’re assuming that Zion playing every game to this point wouldn’t have him missing five games in December for something nagging. Let the people educated in this stuff do what they’re paid to do.

And you're assuming if Zion played back to backs, he'd be guaranteed to get hurt and wreck our season, so...

I’m saying it’s the same thing every year star players sitting out for no reason if you can’t play back to back games as a 23 year old you can’t be paid star money we’re wasting away
