I have an in law that goes to the chiropractor 6 times a week, sometimes twice in a day.
This isn't a recent thing like after an accident, this has been going on for years.
Something about an S1 joint.

Do you, or anyone you know, go to the chiropractor at this frequency for this long?

Just seems there's no end in sight.

I must also bring up that said in law is a hypochondriac that is always sick with some ailment, like IBS. Always on antibiotics, etc.

I've been to a chiropractor once. I'm not against them, though. I'd try them before I'd ever have someone operate on my spine/ back area.

Yes. Chiropractor has a place but it is not for long term or serious issues.

If you are seeing a chiro 2-3 times a week for more than 4-6 weeks it is time to get to an orthopedic or a neuro

The purpose of a chiropractor is to scam an insurance company after an accident. If your relative has an actual medical need, I would recommend a real doctor.

Dude, I had back pain for years and 2 visits to the chiropractor cleared that up. I only go about once a year now but they really do work. Some are kooks and cheats admittedly, but then again, so are a lot of MDs.

Chiropractors seem nice. They even come and pick you up after auto accidents.

This being their primary purpose, to treat a patient long enough to demand the policy limits of whatever person that hit them, they manage to scam some people into “maintenance” treatments for life. I think they cause problems to make people continue coming back.

He even says do the exercises and I would do better.

Much like seeing a counselor or psychologist for years, they don’t want to cure you. It’s about money. If the issue has not been resolved, you’ve been scammed.

Her back issues she claims goes back to an accident years ago, but they tried to sue but lost the case.
Primarily because there was very little damage to her car. Hardly noticeable.
This accident was like 10 years ago.
But, again I emphasize she's a hypochondriac that whines about any ailment. So who really knows.
However, she is shelling out like $50 a visit, so $300 a week. Lol.

TBH, the only logical explanation is she is fricking the chiropractor. Six times a week is not “treating” anything as she is obviously getting no relief.

Your in law finna get that sweet settlement. Maybe she gets referred out for MRIs or not invasive surgery if it’s a commercial policy.
