Olde Tyme Grocery (same as BJ's in Broussard) but never had Pops.

The downtown liberals swear by Pops.

Old Tyme is great for shrimp or oyster poboys.

But their roast beef poboys are basically just sliced sandwich meat.

Acadiana is the land of roast and gravy and smothered everything. I don't know why they never understood that a roast beef poboy is roast cooked for a long time in a pot and not cold cuts.

And also in Youngsville now.

Pretty much everywhere else is sliced deli meat. Best RB Poboy I've ever had is Harry's in Larose.

Chris' Poboy has a really good roast beef poboy. The Chris' special is exceptionally good IMO. It's ham, swiss and roast beef.

Olde Time is also good but their fried shrimp poboy is the go-to there.

I think Pops does the pot roast poboy if that counts and it is incredible.
