Someone on here was Billy Cannon's patient and got to see the actual ballot.

I have a family member that’s a voter. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one, but the ballot is blank and you fill out the names for 1/2/3 and the college they attend. You have to name all three or the ballot is invalid. If I remember correctly there is an online portal now so you don’t actually have to send the ballot back.

They should get a ballot with only stats - no names.

No, not even names.

That is the expectation.

As in any human endeavor, the actions of individuals vary a great deal. Some take it seriously and truly try to make the best decision, some are swayed by the reports of others, some are regionally biased, some are conference-biased, some are even "style" biased and, unfortunately, some may even have biases related to race (though I think that is virtually gone and not at all one-sided these days).
Here are a few images of past Heisman forms.
From 2003
From 2005
2019 I think this is what the electronic ballot looks like

Thanks .. next question.
Aside from winning a Heisman, how do you get to be a voter? How many are there?

Google says there are over 800 voters plus 1 fan vote plus former winner voters (maybe 45 of those?)
My neighbor is a voter. He was a director of sports at the local news for many years.
