Saw this on MSN Sports -- Could be Germans so go easy on me but I went back 5 pages on TD and saw nothing about it..
Miles contacts ex-Syracuse coach about DC position...
LSU has some interest in Greg Robinson
LSU football coach Les Miles has apparently inquired about bringing former Syracuse coach Greg Robinson to Baton Rouge as his defensive coordinator. Contacted Thursday night, Robinson did not deny the contact about the LSU job, though he said the information might be "reaching a little bit." He said he's weighing all his options. "I don't see myself having the ability to do something right now," Robinson said. "First of all, I want to continue to work on our coaches to help them (find new jobs). Secondly, I have to weigh all my options. That's going to take some time." -- Syracuse Post-Standard

at the very least this removes any possibility of Mallvetto coming back.

I am using this sentence the next time Mrs. Fingers has a chore for me to do around the house. Great sentence.

He was good at Texas. If we miss out on Chavis and Koennig, I'd take him.

Chavis will be LSU's next DC....and you can take that to the bank

Thanks Tommy! Now we can all start talking about something else.

I hope so, since he remains my #1. However, from Robinson's quote, it doesn't appear that it's likely.

If we take Robinson over Koennig, I am not going to be happy.

I'd be very happy with Robinson.

I started this thread and was wondering if anyone can tell me if Robinson just recently entered into possible consideration for the DC position or is this something really new?
I mean I have been hearing about Chavis, "O", Croom, Koenning, et. al. here on TD but never anything about him until that report I linked in the thread.
Is there some real potential in this? Even though Robinson's comment seems to be saying this is "a reach" in the eyes of the TD faithful, I humbly ask -- WHAT SAY YOU..???

I don't see myself having the ability to use the search button.

I hope not with Robinson. I like Orgeron.. not sure Miles and he will get along.. He's definitly in the face type of coach.. Exactly what the LSU players need.

GR has been my first choice though I'd be thrilled with Chavis.
The point of this news blurb though?
It's the first CONCRETE proof that Les is looking for a DC.
That's good news.
