The answer for why white people don't go to the Magic City Classic

You may have participated in this thread a few weeks ago when Birmingham was set to host the Magic City Classic. A journalist inquired why more white people don't attend the festivities and considered white flight and racism as the reasons.

But perhaps it's the content of this video taken the evening of the game that might be the answer. The entire YouTube video is 30 minutes long of various clips of people engaging in dangerous and reckless behavior with their vehicles around the city. The linked portion shows cars blocking both sides of the interstate, completing shutting down that portion of I-59/I-20, to do donuts in the middle of the road.

So, I have to say that the responses in our OT thread were more accurate in assessing why white people don't attend. It's not racism or white flight; it's the dangerous subculture involved with events involving predominantly...well, we'll just say Yogis at this time.
