Guidry is a Welsh boy. Mom and dad are getting older. I’m sure he would love to come back home so Mom and Pop could go every week. To me, he is a no brainer for DC. Southwest La and East Texas ties in recruiting for a number of years. Also recruited Houston. Don’t get me started on all the kids he recruited to Mcneese from Nola. Could be scary good to lock down the state if he gets the DC job. A True lockdown!!!

This is Guidry’s second year in a row of top ten defenses. Last year at Marshall and this year at Miami. His defenses at Mcneese always were top 10 in country in FCS and D1-AA. I’d say his track record of great defenses go wayyyy back. I’m not gonna get in a Pissing match with you guys, but Miami would be smart to offer at least double to keep him. If LSU doesn’t come calling, I promise you Texas A&M will with his recruiting ties. That’s the name of the game. With the money A$M throws at NIL, look out if they outbid for him. The greatest thing LSU has going to get him is proximity to Welsh. But with the right money, he could afford to fly his parents to every game so that wouldn’t be a big deal either.

Finalists haven’t been named, yesterday was just the initial list of nominees. The five finalists won’t be named until late November.

He sold his kid out to Kiffin and Coach O for a shot at a D1 assistant job. Not to mention he intentionally lied to LSU coaches during his recruitment.
I understand that you probably know him personally, and Lord knows everyone makes mistakes and can change. Having said that, LSU can and will hire a DC better than Guidry.

Aren’t you happy his son didn’t come to LSU. Lance has continued to climb the ladder. He’s not the same person that you are remembering. Les Miles had a lot to do with that decision.
