Jimbo was the best hire they’ll make in the modern era and he did nothing. No one they’ll get will recruit as well as Jimbo did, they won’t get someone with a recent national championship like Jimbo had, and they won’t get someone with his coaching pedigree.

I love how the narrative is now that Jimbo was a shitty hire or something and JUST WAIT to see what they can REALLY do. He was a complete home run hire at the time and he could barely get 8 wins with an entire team of 5*’s. The problem is A&M, not the coach. They went desperately all-in in absolutely every way during Jimbo’s tenure and it didn’t work out, they need to give up on football and focus on meat judging or something
