8 games into the season in theoretically an “important” in-season tournament game… and I’m not even confident on betting them +2.5 (but I will anyway as I am an irrational dumbass). The Rockets, a team led by Dillon fricking Brooks and young scrubs, is favored against us. Dear God I hope this is the lowpoint of the season, surely it can’t get worse.

Somehow, they have already surpassed the bleakness of last season in the first few weeks.

They hired a really good coach and their players play basketball games

Obviously, how you would bet on that depends on whether Zion plays tonight or not.

Just wait until you have to try and watch tonight’s game on the blood red court the Rockets have for the In Season Tournament. Pain on top of pain.

I'm guessing no Herb tonight. If that's the case, we probably won't have enough of a bench to keep up.

Rockets by a billion.

If Sengun doesnt play, Rockets by a million.

With the Zion news, it's down to 1.5 now.

Which is basically just because they have home court.

If Zion can avoid Houston strip clubs before game time this number will flip over into our favor.

I’ve been telling you guys all offseason. The Rockets are currently equal and/or better than us. At the very least, if you disagree with that, it’s at least pretty obvious that they have a much better future than us. This isn’t surprising if you know ball. And it’s not something that is temporary. It’s going to be the rule, moving forward unless we ship Zion, Ingram and Griffin out of here and reset.

Pretty sure we just injury ridden right now. Has nothing to do with the Rockets being "better" and everything to do with our lack of health.

People who say this normally don’t “know ball”

CJ — Vanvleet
BI — Jalen Green
Trey — Brooks
Herb — Jabari
Zion — Sengun

Jonas — Landale
Dyson — Tate
Hawk — Eason
Jose — Bullock
Nance — Jeff Green

I just don’t see how you look at both teams’ healthiest 10 and pick the Rockets, unless you just don’t know ball

I guess you haven’t been paying attention to them lately. Rockets have had 3 blowout wins in a row. And it’s not just that they’re winning.. it’s how they’re winning. Intense defense and the offense is incredibly unselfish. The ball is moving and guys are flying around. It’s impressive to watch.

They’re not young scrubs anymore.. they’ve taken a step forward.

Sengun has been a big part of the offense.. especially when it comes to passing, so if he doesn’t play the offense may take a hit. But they’ve been balling lately.
