Miles completely skull drug like 80% of the teams we played for most of his tenure. His offense got shut the heck down when he played a really good defense, but for the most part those offenses were much better than this defense. There have been games this year where I am positive teams like Tulane could step in and do a much better job defensively.

Miles always gave you a chance and you knew they would bring it on the technique side. We cant even tackle.

A Les Miles offense WITH a Matt House defense! That's what we could see Saturday night, with Nuss starting a game likely in.the.RAIN!!

I still say Les Miles and it isn't close.

He had terrific players year after year and yet would never get the best out of them. Ever.

House is absolute cat shite, but it's not like he has an infinite amount of talent to work with.

This defense is more frustrating bc it is so hopeless against any average offense. At least the Miles offense could scratch together enough points to beat most teams.

The Miles offense was hopeless against Bama though. So I don’t know what’s worse, losing 42-28 or 20-13.

Miles offense. Think of the wasted/misused talent

Now with House we’ve never really had elite personnel.

To me bad defense is way more frustrating than bad offense. But I get the opposite opinion

Especially when you just know you have no chance to get off the field on third down

Les Miles had the talent on offense, House's house is empty.

What gets me is how much everyone seemed to love him last year. Maybe all we’re seeing is the effect of no dl coach and not enough good players..
I dunno what the answer is but it’s definitely frustrating when you have the best offense but not a breath of defense..,

Les Miles led offense for sure. At least the House led defense has only been terrible for one season. Les Miles' offense held the team back for years and was beyond frustrating to watch game after game after game.

A Matt House defense…bar FAR.

Les’s offenses worked like road graders against 95% of college football, they just didn’t work when the other team matched your physicality and because Les recruited so well, that made for a lot of wins.

House’s defenses work against no one. They find a way to ensure every offense we play has their best day ever. We’re literally destroying other teams cherished records by inflating their 2023 stats.

Offenses playing House’s LSU’s defense are like sprinters with a downhill slope and a heavy tailwind…records set shouldn’t even count.

House, no doubt. Dude is obviously on the take. Literally losing on purpose. My Asperger's won't allow me to process it any other way. He can't be that stupid.

Let's compare 2023 and 2011...
2023, 45.2 ppg scored. 28.2 ppg allowed.
2011, 35.7 ppg scored. 11.3 ppg allowed.

I'll take Les any day of the week.

As frustrating as Les' offense was at least they played hard nosed football. There was never a question of toughness.

House's defense scared, dazed and confused.

run/run/pass/punt
vs.
complete inability to tackle or adjust to an opponent’s offense

Both are infuriating and the only way to fix either one was/is to fire a coach.

But at least Les Miles’s teams could return punts and kickoffs successfully.
