this is one of those examples when you take just that part, it could look like he's being overly critical. BUT, if you include the entire quote, he states his runs and certain plays were what kept them in the game.....regardless, TAYLOR CATCH THE BALL!

I am. Daniels was average from the pocket. He salvaged that with some truly scintillating runs. I could not see the whole field, since I was watching on TV, but our receivers are too good for Bama's secondary, and time after time Daniels could not find guys to throw to. I don't know this for sure, but I suspected that Daniels let the moment get to him and regressed on his reads. Kelly saying this confirms me in my guess.

I was in Daniels' corner all last year and the offseason. The only time I waivered was after his poor performance against FSU (and it WAS poor). I still think the world of Daniels, but he was not great against Bama. I agree with Kelly.

I get it, given the emotion of the game it is a tough comment to register.
JD IMO played like a leader and champion Sat night, especially on the last drive of the 1st half and the 1st drive of the 2d half. He was not going to be detered or denied against a DEF littered with 4-5 star talent and with a scheme designed to slow him down.
I can't say enough about the growth in his skill-sets since last season. Personally I'm damn proud to have him as our LSU QB.

Just wait till next year BK. You are not going to have Daniels anymore. Better get ready.

Kelly is the winningest Head Coach active today. And through all of those years he's only had Daniels for two of them. I think Kelly will be fine.

More wins than Saban? Not sure your statement is accurate.

Daniels was off early on a few passes. Kelly also said very good a few times. He was trying to make the point that LSU had to play great to beat Alabama and have to play great as a rule if they want to win national championships.

It wasn’t a full game

If he had finished, he might have had some great moments

Use the whole quote dipshite…. He even said we wouldn’t have been in that game without JD also. He said JD will watch film and agree that he should have done some things better. He was not shitting in Daniels by any means.

I have no problem with it. I got sick of coach O telling us every week that ______ had the best week of practice they ever had. I think JD would agree 100% with BK's assessment. If it doesn't bother him it shouldn't bother you.

The offense needed to be elite to beat bama. They were just great. Great doesn’t win that game.

BK saw what most of the fans with an open mind saw. Daniels regressed to his old self against Alabama. He trusted his legs more than his arm in most situations.

He barely threw over 200 yards and 50 of those yards was on 1 wide open pass to Nabers. Yes, I know he didn’t play most of the 4th quarter but it’s still not impressive.

Regressed lmao? Where do y’all come from? Clearly the only reason we were in the game until the INT to start the 4th. That 50 yard pass was him pushing the ball down the field, what most have been crying about for a year.

Not at all what the quote was about.. he said there is no to little room for error against bama in Tuscaloosa. You have to be great to win those games, not just good.

There's plenty he could have done. He could have passed the ball to himself so no drops. He could have played defense. He could have snapped the ball to himself. See plenty of things...
