All it took was for the frick UTAH finger nail painter to cry on national TV to get him fired. How many years (chances) did LiaR have to fire Grinch? This was likely forced by admin.

And if they kept Wiley (conditioning coach) it won’t help a ton.

How many great QBs did LiaR waste their college national title chances by not addressing defense? Baker, Kyler, Jalen, Rattler (well he never developed him) and Caleb. All those qbs and no titles. Caleb didn’t even win a conf title let alone play for natty.

From The Athletic

Grinch has been Lincoln Riley’s defensive coordinator for the past four-plus seasons, but the last six games were simply too much to overcome. In that span, USC has allowed the following point totals: 41, 41, 48, 34, 49 and 52. The Trojans are 7-3 and nearly out of the Pac-12 title race after entering the season as the conference favorite and a trendy College Football Playoff pick.

USC ranks 124th nationally in scoring defense (34.5 points) and 109th in yards per play allowed (6.11).

Is it time for coaching firings / changes to start?

Prediction: He ends up across town as an analyst at UCLA. He and Chip Kelly used to work together years ago in New Hampshire.

It doesn't matter who the DC is. Lincoln Riley's teams will always be soft.

LR already being forced into mid-season firings. That’s a good sign.

It’s crazy that quite a few of the former players from the late 1990s and early 2000s Mount Union teams have gotten bit time coaching gigs.

But talk about a different level of success between Nick Sirianni as the HC of the Eagles and Alex Grinch as a P5 defensive coordinator. And specially since Grinch was supposed to be this rising star at Wazzou, then didn’t do great in his year at Ohio State, then seems to gave gotten worse and worse.

Matt House and Alex Grinch should tandem coach a team and see if they can allow 60 pts a game.

The three words that best describe him are as follows and I quote:

Stink, stank, stunk.

Shocking that going from one soft program to another didn’t work out for Grinch

You act like this will solve Lincoln Riley’s perpetual defensive issues.

Heisman QBs and Swiss cheese defense. That’s Lincoln Riley football.

I'm not sure prime Bill Parcells would make a Lincoln Riley team play defense well.

I don't understand how that dude has cashed in for like $10 million over the past 6 years and has coached at 3 blue bloods and been terrible every year.

OSU
OU
USC

He made $1.2 M at OSU, $3.2 M at OU and Probably another $3 M or so at USC (not sure his contract terms but $1.8 per year was expected).

How you can be that bad at schools with the most talent year after year and somehow stay employed is incredible
