We’re lucky to have them. Joel is the best the business; smooth and effortless in his commentary and understands the game. AD gives great insight and makes the game fun to watch/listen to. Zero interest in national broadcast when I can listen to Joel and AD.

No doubt. Tonight right after Dyson made his first free throw, the camera cut to the scorer’s table because someone was checking in to the game (I think CJ) and in the background you see Joel and AD high fiving because Dyson knocked the free throw down.

I have SiriusXM and have been able to listen to Joel for every game this season. I’m out of market and so this is the easiest way for me to listen. I have the SiriusXM app on my phone and listen while I’m at the gym. SiriusXM is like $120 for a year subscription.

Love them both, Joel is the consummate pro and yeah AD talks to much sometimes but the enthusiasm is genuine and fun.

And when Wesley joins for analysis too it's very good. The smallest market in the NBA and we have much better analysis and game coverage than ESPN. Hell - not only do they have on Kendrick Perkins but they seem to go out of their way to feature him as a lead analyst. Both AD and Wesley are 10 times better in every facet. It's laughable.

I met Joel in the club level lounge at halftime of pellies at bucks. He was super friendly.

Fun fact: that's his real voice, even in casual conversation. That's not an affectation.

I used to sit behind Joel and his wife
when he wasn’t calling the game. They are very friendly people. I met Harry Shearer one night when he was sitting next to them. That was kind of cool.

Thing is that Detroits is actually average. 5 or so are absolutely horrible to listen to like the Hornets broadcast. 20 are just average and 5 are high level broadcasts. Glad we are one of those 5. Joel is perfection but I can see how a non Pels fan would get annoyed by AD the even though he is very fair. New Orleans, (2x) New York, Sacramento, and Miami are my top 5. Boston, Utah and Charlotte are the worst

We will not slander Eric Collins on this board.

The kings is horrible.

On another note, I can’t believe Mike hoss does football games for an nfl team. And Zach strief before him.

One of 32 jobs in the profession, and it’s him. When you have Joel in the same city. Crazy to me.

For real.

Especially since Joel calls some TV broadcasted football games throughout the season.

I imagine there is pretty large difference from calling a TV game versus radio though

Two of the best in the business, no doubt. There's a reason that you rarely hear a peep of criticism directed at these two. They clearly love the team and do a great job covering it.

And he does Saints preseason games.
