This is just from my stat gathering from scuba's threads, but here's what I've noticed.

- Braswell has gotten off to a great start, hitting .375 with a couple dingers after 4 weeks isnt bad, only 1 error playing SS too I've got

- Jake Brown has been a surprise for me offensively. He's hitting .333 with a double and triple, thought for sure he was mostly just a pitching prospect coming in but he's putting himself out there with the bat too

- Kling has turned it up this fall, hitting .391 and 7 SB by my count, has highest OPS on the team this fall right behind Braswell barely

- Zeb Ruddell doing it again this fall hitting .345 with a couple doubles and triple.

- Mitchell has come in with a hot stick hitting .333 with a pair of doubles himself

- Guidry focusing on the field/offense this fall hasnt seemed to get him going, hitting .160 at the plate with 13 K in 25 AB

- Speaking of K's, Jones leads the team with 17 in 30 AB so far, does have 2 doubles and 2 home runs but only 6 total hits

In terms of pitching:

- Moffett unfortunately still has major control issues with 11 free passes in 7 IP

- Loer has only given up 1 ER in 6 IP over 4 appearances

- Bronzini has struck out 15 in 10 2/3 IP, but has given up 9 ER with 13 free passes and 11 hits

- Dutton has a 1.80 ERA through 10 IP...that's a turnaround

- Hurd has been great so far with just 1 ER in 6 IP

- Ackenhausen has a 1.80 ERA in 10 IP with 13 K....saying dont forget about me potentially in a starting role

- Herring has been solid with 14 K in 10 IP

- Primeaux has 12 K in 8 IP and 3.38 ERA

- Christian Little has looked completely rejuvenated and has thrown 11 IP with 18 K, only 4 hits allowed and 2 free passes. He has a team leading 1.64 ERA of those who have thrown for more than a few innings

Appreciate it, T-Bird.

Michael Braswell was a huge pickup out of the portal with two years of SEC experience after being named to the All-SEC Freshman team in 2022. He's smooth in the field and Jay was confident they could get more out of him at the plate, which looks to be the case.

LSU has a bright future in the OF with the likes of Larson, Mitchell and Ruddell. If anything, they'll push the presumed starters in the OF to play at the top of their game.

I'm interested to see how Jay manages the big boys in Frey, Jones and Travinski. Bear really needs to clean up the swing & miss before the spring.

Anyone in the clubhouse leading for the spot at 2B?

If you try to read into the way the position has rotated so far, this position seems completely up in the air. There was a whole slew of guys switching in and out here, and recently we have seen Kling and Pearson playing 2B as well.

It could mean that JJ feels:

1 - none of the regular infielders are showing they can take firm control of the position

2 - our OF depth looks so great that he's trying to see which one of them can handle 2B in order to get the most out of the lineup

You're right bro, we are in football season, and I am along with so many, enjoying our Tiger football team once again. However, there are some fans around here who are capable of enjoying Tiger baseball year 'round.

Couldn’t be happier for the guy. Really rooting him and hope this continues…

Christian has always had the tools. Hoping he can put it together this year.

I feel that the injury issues for the pitching staff trickled down to Little where he was asked to extend to a role he wasn't comfortable with and it spiraled from there. Hopefully this staff allows him to build confidence in a role he feels in command.

Hopefully Little has gained some balance in his delivery as it's pretty tough to throw strikes when you're almost falling into the 1st base dugout after every follow through.

Negative. He had both good and bad outings from all over the rotation all year. He was inconsistent in just about every role.

Little has changed his delivery some. No more stiff straight leg kick.

He’s using a more traditional tucked 90 degree leg kick now. A lot more structured

Everyone forgets about it because of how crazy the championship series was, but his outing against Tennessee was just as important as Morgan's play on the squeeze against Wake Forest in terms of winning us a title.

I had Braswell at 9/30 or .300 when I added up Scuba's numbers. You sure .375? Maybe I made a mistake.

Regardless, he has been impressive.

This what a pitching coach is supposed to do. Seems like not to long ago they were on the bench because of arm issues.

That is biggest surprise of fall and one that I am glad to see.

I mean, there were quite a few heroic moments that led to that run. Pearson's catch. Whites bomb. Floyd's start. Hurds start. All huge moments that we maybe don't win a title without.

We’re going to repeat in 2024. I really believe that.
