If all of the posters on here would be responsible voters and vote the idiots out who are holding the schools hostage…. One could change the direction of the school systems

Tim Tebow...home schooled

Look in the mirror.

How many parents would love to have their son, Tebow played college football and became the first underclassman to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007. He was a key contributor to two BCS National Championship teams at Florida (2006 and 2008) and was named the MVP of the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.
Multimillionaire, never been in trouble.
That is "weird" in the sense that few have accomplished as much.

They are emotionally stunted. This is not speculation either. It's a fact.

You just have to love the public schooled dude that doesn’t know the difference between speculation and facts.

Sorry your kids are dumb, but making wildly inaccurate claims about other kids doesn't make your kids look any smarter.

They’re weird because they lack social skills. But I realize their parents want the best for them.

Yep, because the parents don't get them involved in anything outside of the home.

We homeschool our oldest (and will homeschool the other 2 as well). We have a plan for all of our kids to be involved in "after school" sports leagues and 4-H/FFA when they are old enough to participate.

I've met plenty of people that were homeschooled and do not lack the social skills that one would expect. I've also known plenty of public school kids that have no social skills whatsoever. Lack of social skills is not strictly a homeschool characteristic.

The upside is that they are far less likely to get shot.

I'm betting most of them are way smarter than you!
My experience with them is a lot different...I find that most of them are from good, solid families that teach morals and are well educated.
Thus, they are productive in society. You must be talking about the ones who don't go to school and stay home with their deadbeat moms. A lot different, dude!

and their parents/family are even worse. Tim Tebow...home schooled

Some home schooled parents do a good job, I assume, but if you have been to a Walmart around 9 am Monday - Friday in the last 15 years you know why most kids are home schooled....because the parents are too damned sorry to get out of bed and get dressed...but they have to get a few groceries so they go to Walmart in their pajamas and drag their undereducated progeny with them. You may also see them in movie theaters, fast food places, amusement parks...what you will not see is them not in their pajamas.....

Do you see what the libtards are teaching in public schools these days???

Home school does not seem so bad. It is becoming more and more popular.

My kids are home schooled and we love it. They have flexibility to learn and enjoy their childhood. I have a small land clearing side business and my 14 year old son helps me with that . We coordinate our jobs around what my wife needs from them in the classroom. He makes some good money, is learning to work, operate a dozer and excavator and deal with people . Also, it gives us flexibility with vacations. We can go wherever and she can bring their work if needed. Most times she just works to get them ahead and we enjoy our trip. We wish we’d have made the move sooner than we did. It’s been great for our family.

My wife & I homeschool both of our boys.

16 y/o already has a video editing business (makes about $2500/mo). Plays soccer, works 1 day a week in the film department at church.

11 y/o plays rugby (he’s tough as hell) and works 8-10 hrs a week in our business working directly with customers. Already knows what cost of goods iis, he’s learning our business and how to do the books.

Yeah…they’re weird

How is this possible when Archie Griffin won the Heisman twice.

What? He’s the Keanu Reeves of former athletes.

He is an outlier in the best way possible. Being that good of a person does seem weird these days, but that “weirdness” is an honorable trait.

Good for them.

I live 2 miles from an ACCS accredited school. The Composite ACT average for that particular school is 8 points higher than the average for the public school system that their students would otherwise be in (9 points higher than the state average).

Plus, they have the social advantage of being in a school, rather than the confines of homeschool.
