Many in my age group have been raised on the idea of stopping the spread of communism anywhere and everywhere in the world so when a conflict is framed that what they support it

I come from a family with 9 siblings, all Boomers. All my siblings would be considered conservative when compared to the typical Dim/Groomer, they're all done with forever wars.

How many boomers are you talking to that you feel confident to make this generalization?

I haven’t met one person that leans conservatively who believes we should be sending money or arms to Ukraine

Are you unaware of Putin's actions in Georgia in 2008?

So, you're really not interested in a conversation here, right?

I sort of get the left wing redditors who have been brainwashed into thinking Putin is modern day Hitler and this some holy war against "Fascism", and all the talking points that they have been fed.

But I am astounded how many older traditionally Republicans who are so interested in this war and the need to send all of our money towards that war.
Because we are less self-centered than your generation and feel some obligation to assist people who are fighting for their freedom.

I've heard the take that we're trying to get rid of outdated weapons along with China is watching to see how much of a fight Taiwan will be. I don't agree wuth either.

These are the same folks that were taught that hiding under a desk at school could lessen the impact of an atomic bomb.

So you mean something as preposterous as many on here believing that Putin was actually going to unleash his "doomsday submarine" and begin WWIII. A weapon that's still in dry dock. Were you one of those.

There are some out here who can discern the posturings and empty threats of a residual(left over) Bolshevik devotee of Lenin who likely suffers alternating episodes of black depression and delusions of grandeur along with other hallucinations.

Which include actually believing that he can begin the process for eventually recovering those lost Soviets.

Who has had the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in his craw since his early school days when he was studying all about his hero and role model, and fantasizing about how one day he would be able to redress the only mistakes he believes his role model made in giving up too much in the negotiations.
