Most men don't understand that women don't love men the same way that men love women.
Women look at men the way men look at jobs.
To a woman a man is more of a role player, someone to provide the lifestyle that she desires (house, kids etc.).
While men are in love, women are in business.
That's why women only marry men with more money/assets than themselves.
You are invisible to her once it has been established that you are not going to be the guy to provide that future.
If your company stopped paying you would you still go to work and do that job ?
Of course not, because you didn't love the job/company, you loved the lifestyle that it provided.
It's a tough pill to swallow, but women don't love you the way you love them.

I can assure you, my wife does not view our marriage the same way that you described.

Oof! I have many contenders. Honestly thinking of the list hurts my heart if I’m being honest.

Is this a Story of Chunk thread?
I don't have a biggest regret .... but I have quite a few regrets from my younger days.
They haunt me.
Best thing to do is to let them go.

When I graduated high school I didn’t go straight to college. I waited a year and worked for a contractor outfit. Had $5,000 saved and no bills.
Wish I would've done that. I think a lot of folks in college that take a year off and work a real job have a better perpsective, and some cash to boot.
Also wish I would've had a few less beverages and got a little more involved in college and high school.

My family has always been in construction. When I was young I had to work construction, I hated construction. I spent 10 years trying to do something other than construction.
I’m in my mid 50s and finally have a successful business. I feel like I wasted 10 years. I wonder what stage I would be if I hadn’t been so stubborn.
