Some right, some wrong in this thread.

London is an extremely diverse yet awesome city where service still matters and people generally get along.

This wasn’t always the case. Working class Brits fought long and hard against for many years but finally seemingly gave up around 10 yrs ago.

For all the “diversity is our strength” crap spewed by libs in the US, it really kind of does work here with many people from different parts of the world blending together (eastern Europe, Middle East, India, etc.), BUT, importantly, they all try to assimilate into the British culture. In the US, somehow being American is not a goal.

The lack of freedom of speech is a deal breaker for me.

But, the lack of 2nd amendment is not unique to the UK. Go ANYWHERE in Western Europe and you will get the same response from conservatives and libs alike…they just do not understand our gun laws. Not saying if right or wrong, but, no one understands so not just Londoners.

No homeless problem in the UK.

And, for those that say Paris > London, you guys haven’t been in recent years. Paris is now one of the worst large cities in the world. Migrants NOT assimilating and will rob you, migrants living on sidewalks, trash and rubbish EVERYWHERE, extremely overcrowded, etc.

Finally, food in London is exceptional…lunch on Thursday at La Petit Beefbar in Chelsea and dinner on Thursday night at Novikov…awesome food day. London now has 71 Michelin star restaurants. If you can’t find a good place to dine, sorry but you’re missing out.

Oh yeah, Trump since this is PT. They never were really a Trump loving country during his time in office (MAGA, NATO, etc). But, they do wish for him back…mostly because of current inflation, high interest rates, etc. “Trump would have never let this happen.”

The UK’s gun laws and regulations are notoriously strict, so much so that even deactivated weapons must go through a rigorous process and several checks to ensure that the weapon is not capable of firing live rounds. That being said, gun crime in the UK is still prevalent and rising, with 6,369 cases being reported in the year ending September 2022.

Go down to the corner abortion clinic and just stand there silently…see how long it takes one of those awesome cops to to show up and arrest you.

6. The anti gun people here brought a few things….and one I do agree with…..here to kill a person you have to do so close up and not from a distance

The IRA was known for their bombings. It makes me think that you must have spoken to some younger people.

5. They think America has a huge media problem with honesty….shocking I know

No Brit or anyone who has spent any time there came up with that one, their media is far worse than ours and doesn't even bother pretending otherwise.

Well I can't speak for how you perceive things, but the data suggests that things aren't nearly as bad as you seem to think. GDP growth rates are decent (although I don't believe some of the projections), inflation has decreased significantly and crime is down. That's not to say that I think Biden is doing some superb job or something, but that we are a far way from collapse.
virtually every serious statistical analyst is openly and greatly concerned about how the present government lies about virtually EVERYTHING financial
