LOL no... we literally lost the best hitter and best pitcher this storied program has ever seen.
Correct. Skenes is by far the best pitcher ther we’ve had, but that’s 1 game a week. (He was also 10-2 because he didn’t get much help).
It’s like after winning the NC all of y’all forgot the issues the team had for a large portion of the year. Even with the loss of Skenes, overall our pitching staff will be better. We will also get more run support this year.
I said on paper (meaning as a team) we will be better. Sorry if you can’t see it.

quote:okay your right but who are the players. Can you not talk shite and just answer questions? Hurd sucked until sec tourney. Skenes was literally the best pitcher in college before he got to lsu. He was the number one pick. We got somebody like this , this year?
Paul Skenes didn’t either until he did.
Thatcher Hurd didn’t either until he did.
Yes we had a very old team last year. Obviously when you have an old experienced team you’re not going to be able to run out a bunch of SEC experience the next year. But what you can do, and what Jay has done, is put together a super talented roster to reload instead of rebuild.
You aren’t interested in that answer though. You’re just interested in trolling during a bye week
Again, who will fill the 6/7 spots that are most likely open?
I did state until a hs kid proves himself , he dont count. I can sit here and say the kid who was all world in hs last year flopped(kling) his freshman season but i didnt. I was asking who is gonna step up?
The real answer is we don't have anyone until we do. I didnt know who we had like a hurd or a skenes transfering or a big incoming freshman like cam. But people gotta troll like bitches on here instead of just talking about what we got.

Apparently you couldn't see "best hitter" in my post.
Sit this one out, sparky.

If you already knew the answer, why did you ask the question ?
Posted on 10/26/23 at 5:57 pm to GMoney2600
My only real concern is defense at 1b
Morgan will be missed
Everywhere else lsu will be adequate
I mean you don’t replace a Skenes or crews but you make up for it with a deeper pitching staff and Pearson/Kling up their games to pick up slack from crews numbers

I think Pearson is pretty much is who he is which is a very solid player on a championship team.
Kling realizing his potential in his final season here is the big wild card for this team.

Does Jay Johnson shite in the woods?

was just curious. Why it always got to be shite talk brah
Because this is a dumb fricking thread that shows you don’t follow the team at all.
Why not just look at all the roster movement and make your own opinion? Are you incapable? It seems you are.
Also you talk like an imbecile. Learn to speak better so people don’t immediately know you’re an imbecile.

Lol he absolutely was not. He developed here.
Also Kling didn’t flop. He was hitting great early in the year, got hurt, took a little while to get right and got passed up by older players. He will be a stud. Bingham will be a stud. Frey will be a stud. Josh Pearson is back. Milazzo, Travinski and Neal are back.
The pitching is staff is deeper and more proven than it was last year. I suggest reading about them. Try the recruiting thread and the scrimmage threads for a start.

I thought if they haven’t played they don’t count and that you don’t know who the younger guys are?
But now you have an opinion that Josh Pearson is going to get passed up by one of them. That’s par for the course from you.

This team is literally gonna be new. Man your the shite cause you know "everything" about LSU baseball.

He was the best two way player.
Dollander was widely considered the best pitcher by a decent margin coming back.

This team will be deeper than last year's but not quite as strong at the top. Bullpen should be filthy. And Cam Johnson is the highest rated prospect to ever make it to campus.
I think the pitching staff has more quality depth and versatility than last season, but I don't think we have the experienced/proven hitters - DC, TW, Dugas, and Jobert. As the young hitters develop, we'll be a dangerous team.

Well seeing as how Cam Johnson is the highest rated HS recruit to ever make it to BR, yea, you should sit down and listen to people who follow the team.
