Are we ever gonna get any rain in Louisiana?

I know it’s not a novel topic at all, but damn we have only got 1-2” of rain here in BTR this month and roughly 2-3” in all September.
Checking the weather it looks like no possible rain for another 10+ days.
I’m cool with not mowing my grass, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drought here like this before.

I am afraid once it starts, it will set in for quite a while.

Looks like it's rainy like hell in NWLA right now. Good because my foodplots need it.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any great chance of beneficial rain for much of the southeast through the first week of November. November and December are typically pretty stormy months down here, though, so I’m sure the drought will break at some point in the coming weeks.

There's an El Nino on. I promise you, Louisiana will get rain this winter.
I fully expect bitching by March asking if the rain will ever stop.

I hope this goes on for years and we turn into a Mediterranean climate.

That's more than we got in NE Ascension. And some dude across the street is burning a big arse pile of lumber and trash today.

No worries here baw. We have been reassured by all the old timers here this is just another typical Louisiana summer.

It’s all coming to texas right now. Just let us have this. We need it far worse than y’all do.

We've got a place in town that has been running an outdoor garage sale for like a month now. I mean this isn't fine china, but some pretty decent furniture and other stuff that is just outside like they really expect that there is no way this stuff won't sell before the next rain!

My food plots in SW MS look like they belong in a picture book documenting the dust bowl
