Those Somali women respect force. They’re very primal. They’re drawn to it.

I disagree. I think it’s a net epic fail for him. Sure, he set out to get rid of McCarthy and achieved that “goal,” but what’s the net gain for Republicans versus net loss? The Speaker’s role remains the same, not to represent one “faction” or the other in the House Republican majority, but instead to try to find middle ground between the “factions” enough to be able to effectively use their majority in the House.

The factions and division has not gone anywhere, and if anything is worse. Thus, and this is only my opinion of course, but for Republicans it’s a net loss. And I say that with the thought in mind that the most important thing for Republicans right now is to put themselves in the best possible position to win 2024 elections. I believe the opposite has happened.

Two long, fairly detailed paragraphs, and that’s all you can do in response?

The goal wasn’t to replace McCarthy with another McCarthy. It’s too early to say if Johnson will reduce the camps within the house, but his introduction was a positive start. The republicans were going absolutely nowhere with Kevin McCarthy, which had to go. Take the immediate win.

That’s your specialty and area of expertise, poo? I ain’t hating, somebody’s gonna need to know some detailed information about poo eventually. And that’s going to be your time to shine.

Oh yeah, y’all care. Y’all mad at my differing viewpoint on the subject. I see it with mine own eyes. You in particular even felt it necessary to reiterate your frustration with a second response.

It's a win but it's like a 24 hour rule. Feel good but be ready to move on.

They will keep trying to knife Gaetz and will now set their sights on Johnson.

The enemy never sleeps.

Gaetz said what he was going to do and set out to do it.

If he accomplished nothing else, that alone is an accomplishment since Gaetz drew a stark contrast with establishment Repubes by actually following through with he said he was going to do.

That Gaetz actually achieved his goal is a bonus.
