Perhaps the term reminds people of oppertunities lost....like regret a relationship with that girl or young man didn't work out....and you realize you were to blame. Like maybe the parents didn't approve of him or her and you listened to them rather than follow your heart. That does happen you know. This term ties in with the term - if only I were young again I would do things different.
As far as Paul Skenes and Lizzy Dunne are concerned...they're a young couple having a great time in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. They're both immensely talented and I hope the relationship endures. The future looks bright for both of them.

Gonna let you in on a secret. No one cares about how good a gymnast she is, nor is she overrated as an athlete. That's not why she's popular. She's well aware of what butters her biscuits as well, and it ain't her athletic prowess.
